Our extended family would go to El Sombrero for every birthday, anniversary, graduation etc for many years, and absolutely loved the atmosphere, wonderful food and top-notch cocktails. When it tragically, temporarily closed we were devastated. When it reopened as Eddie's Sombrero we eagerly went back, wanting to recapture our #1 fun spot. The usual staff was mostly gone (Gabby was... More

This used to be our second home, then Eddie's uncle took over when Eddie passed away, and things have progressively gone downhill. Firstly, Gabby left, and he was a crucial element to this restaurant. Secondly, the food and bar service began to decline. Finally, Alex ...who put his soul into trying to make that place work...recently left (along with America,... More

We went to El Sombrero for a birthday party and none of us were disappointed. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly and drinks were quickly served. `Endless delicious chip and salsa and ice tea. We chose the guacamole, which was made fresh at table with our own personal taste of spiciness. It was very good, but the volume was small.... More

We went for dinner on Friday, August 12. Wow, has this place gone downhill. I really hate the walking musicians too. The chicken dish I had and my date had tasted the exact same - tasteless. I am not sure why their food quality has gone away but it truly has. I have been going here for the last 10... More

Even though we we went for a quick meal the server was no friendly at all. I asked a question about the menu bit the guy didn't Know so he didn't repond. The place was empty maybe because it was a weekday. Food and drinks were okay! The nachos were good though!

El Sombrero is not Eddie's Sombrero, but other than a name change, the location, menu, and majority of the staff seem the same. The drink menu and food options still offer variety. Drinks: APB (Acai/Pomegranate/Blueberry) Margarita, Hurricane Margarita (Wildberry and Mango Puree mixed with House Margarita). Simple, basic, pleasant. Chips and salsa for the table didn't last long. Entrees: 1.... More

Went for early dinner got the appetizer sampler it was good but for 13$ could have been a little more. Taco salad with shredded beef and fajitas where very good. Service was a bit slow but overall everything was good. The house margaritas seemed to have been pre made like in one of those slushy type machines, it was a... More

Having eaten true Mexican food, (or "Tex-Mex") I'm sorry, but this is "slop." Eddie (God rest his soul) was not Mexican, he was Puerto Rican. The food all tastes the same, and the "rolling" Mariachic's are more of a pain in the butt than anything else. Mexican food is SO easy to make. Look it up in the web, and... More

My family and I have been eating at El Sombrero since they first opened. We were sad to hear of the passing of Eddie, but happy that the restaurant would remain open. However, after eating there the other night we realized how much it has changed. The salsa, which was our favorite of any restaurant, now tasted like canned tomato... More
