The outside was under construction and it looked a little beat up. But we didn't want anything fancy from the other places around so we tried it. It was great. Simple menu that you would know what you be would get.

Not disappointed! Good wholesome food, no hipster rubbish! (What's quinoa about anyway?) just good honest grub, and friendly staff, despite the language differences! 😄
Curly's has been around before memory was invented. They've held out to gentrification in downtown Stamford. When I've had it with prissy, ritzy upscale place Gorky's is the real thing. From their eggs and sausage breakfast to their Grilled Cheese and Bacon sand and meatloaf...More
Hotel recommended Curly's for breakfast and when we saw it we were nervous. Once the food arrived we knew it was a great place. The kids liked the options and the food was good quality. We would go back again if in the area.

Diner coffee is good. Service is casual with disinterested, sloppy appearing waitstaff. Interior is probably original since it first opened but, very clean. Basic diner breakfast but, they forgot my side of sausage. That I find annoying for such a simple order.
That's probably the best thing to say about this family run diner in downtown Stamford. Everything else is somewhat average. Breakfast was so-so. Service was prompt and friendly. They do leave you alone once you've been served. Worth another visit. And of course- they are...More
