Coconut Fried Lobster is fantastic. Crab Bisque was outstanding with a surprising twist. Owner was very friendly, stopped and chatted with us for awhile.

I have to be honest, when we walked in it looked and smelled like a restaurant located in a 3rd world country and I tried to talk my family into leaving. It was really cold outside and we were on foot so I was over ruled. I will list the items we had and what we thought of it. Crab... More
It had been years since we had first eaten at Catchers, so last night we were able to go to dinner and we are very happy we did. We made the reservation on Opentable.com and when we arrived we were seated at the bar and ordered. The oysters on the half shell we fresh and wonderful. The fried Calamari was... More
Used a Groupon with no hassles for beers and oysters. The oysters were terrific - fresh and just a bit of salt flavor, and the beers were local and refreshing. Service was friendly and made us feel completely welcome. Sort of "beach shack" decor. Definitely a fun place to spend an afternoon down at the beach.
We had decided to go to Beachside for dinner but when we got there it was closed. So we decided to go to Catcher's instead. It is next door. I had low expectations and the place was empty. We decided to try the happy hour menu, everything was half off on the appetizers. Wow was I delighted. The owner, Rowland... More
I had the Key Kombo for dinner and it was great! It consisted of Jerk shrimp (quite tasty), broiled zucchini squash, coconut lobster (fried with a coconut sauce), and pineapple scallops (scallops on top of a roasted pineapple slice). Had some Octoberfest beer to wash it down too. Yum!
There are so many "raw bar" type places in the area, there is no reason to go to Catchers. It's dingy, the service is so-so. Food is only okay. We often see very good bargains for this place, but just can't return...even with free parking, which is an important commodity in this area.
We had the most fun time with Roland. I ordered lobster tacos and they were terrific. Great value. Right on Rehobeth Ave. we liked the food so much Roland catered our beach Wedding in June 2016. He did a great job and remembered all the little details that make it special. You can go right off the beach in shorts... More
We went to this restaurant because of so many people commenting very positively on it! We were recognized and seated immediately. The food was prepared with great care, and presented well. The portions weren't anything to sneeze about. Well done Catchers!!!
