Last night my husband and I went to dinner with another couple and were very disappointed with the experience. Upon entering the restaurant that had a-lot of empty tables we were brought to a table in the back directly beside a party of around eight...with small children, who were crying. Being discreet I asked the hostess prior to being seated if we could sit at a different table. She did not appear to be pleased and sat us at the table right next to the servers busy counter. Beside our table was a broom, dust pan and bucket. The table top was so loose the if you leaned on it your drink shook and spilled. Our server was a young man that may have been new to the job but was very pleasant. The food was mediocre. We had appetizers, prime rib, steak, perch and linguine with shrimp. The linguine was swimming in a watery sauce but had lots of shrimp. Our bill was over 3 hundred dollars and I tipped the waiter 20% after I pointed out the issue with the table, placement to the broom and bucket and the seating. Again he was pleasant. When asked if the many other open tables were reserved he stated “no it is a slower evening.” Typically I do not mind sitting next to a family group enjoying their time out but last night we wanted a little space from crying children in a restaurant that allowed us to hear each other at our table. We are in our early 60’s and have been there done that. This is the first review that I have ever written on any restaurant.More

We had a delicious liver dinner on Saturday! The liver was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables. Our server was very pleasant. The only item we didn't like was the bacon wrapped on the scallops. The scallops were a nice treat. I recommend the...Creme Brule for dessert. Always a great meal! We advise to make reservations.More

Innsville has a cosy and classic fancy steakhouse charm. The wait staff were very attentive and kind. We started off with the festive salad to share that included Innsville's delicious signature sweet and sour dressing. Without asking our waiter brought the salad in two separate...bowls which we remarked was very thoughtful. My fiancee had the Innsville cut prime rib and it was huge! If you are ordering that size, skip lunch or expect to take some home. The horseradish that came with it was spicy but a great accompaniment. He would definitely order it again but maybe a smaller size. I had the Asiago and Grilled Tomato Ravioli. The pasta tasted homemade and the Alfredo sauce with bruschetta was not too heavy and complimented the pasta well. We ended with the Wionna Peach Pie that was warmed up with whipped cream. The perfect end to a lovely meal!More

We love this place and have taken family members many times to their main dining room, but have eaten in the bar too - just hubby and I. ALL the food here is excellent. You get big servings and the chef is fantastic. We had...new family visiting and went here. The boys ordered their HALF A PORK RIB - it was unbelievable! HUGE and had the rib and pork chop and belly. Hubby had it with a baked potato and veggies. I had their Alfredo with shrimp - and I had 10 shrimps'!! Fantastic filling meal and you will never leave here hungry and in fact may take left overs home! The atmosphere is quaint and the service wonderful. This place never disappoints and hubby and family have had seafood dishes here before and all were excellent as well.More

The Innsville is located on highway 8 in Winona. There is paved parking in the front and a larger gravel parking area in the rear with a paved path to the front entrance doors. There is a fancier resturant to the east and a pub...to the west. We frequent the pub. Food and service is always good. They provide ample portions and everything is cooked very well. The Innsville has a varied menu and there is something for everyone on your list. You can sit all the bar also. There fish and chips are terrific as well as anything beef. They are experts in serving Prime Rib. You will not be disappointed. My only critique is that I was charged $14.00 for a single 5oz glass of Pinot. Really? Come on …I can buy a whole bottle for that amount. It made me feel ripped off.More

First time, wont be the last. Ordered oysters and escargot for appetizers. They were both delicious. Really wanted to try the mussels but unfortunately they were sold out. Our Prime Rib surf and turf was delicious. My son's Chicken parm was "okay" but he said...next time he would also go for a steak and lobster tail. Prices were what we expected, Wine was half price, which in all honestly was the fair price. A $14 bottle of wine should not convert to $40 in a restaurant. The service isn't quick, but it's also not a fast food joint. We felt the speed was reflective of the experience we expected to have. All in all we walked out feeling like we just had a fantastic meal and cant wait to return. We might try a Murder Mystery. 2 hints- the Peach pie is to die for, and the seafood sauce is extremely hot as others have said. (i didn't mind the seafood sauce one bit)More

The food and service exceeded my expectations. It was very, very busy but everything was very, very good. I just mentioned to our server that I was gluten intolerant We didn't mention it in booking. They immediately swung into ?Gluten Free mode and replaced gluten...items with very good gluten free, I was not expecting this and was very pleasantly surprised. The show was good, seemed t get off to a bit of a slow start but the as the evening progressed the "Inspector" did an excellent job. A very good evening :)More

I read the reviews before I went and didn’t really have high expectations. I’m so so glad that I ignored those reviews and went. I had an amazing experience. The food was awesome - I was full before my main entree. The service was also...excellent. My water glass was never empty. I enjoyed the performance as well. The lead inspector was hilarious. I would totally go back. My only suggestions is to broaden the single glass wine options. But that said - this was a 5-star experience for me.More

The food was great but came rare blood on the plate. It was quickly replaced with another prime rib medium. The murder mystery was ok… funny mostly. Solving the murder was a guess on my part. The room is very noisy. Sound bounces off the...plaster walls and the table next to us was rowdy and loud all night. Enjoyed it but came home with a headache!More

Over many years, I have enjoyed meals at the Innsville but last night's visit was memorable for the wrong reasons. We invited a neighbour to join us and headed to the restaurant (pub side) for a late afternoon dinner. Both I and our guest ordered...the pan fried pickerel which we found to be undercooked. I and I suppose our neighbour too, didn't wish to make a scene, nor did we want to cast a downer on our experience, so we didn't complain. At the end of the meal, when asked if we enjoyed it, I was honest and said there had been a problem and no, I/we did not enjoy our meal because our fish was virually raw. We were told that a new chef "might" have cooked our meals. The manager, I'm assuming, said she was sorry we hadn't enjoyed our meals but we should have said something and they could have put the fish back in the fry pan. This solution was reiterated many many times, as if we were children. We are all recently retired seniors and are not stupid people, so we know the meals could have been sent back but the third member of our party would have completed their meal before ours came back to the table. When things like this happen, it totally ruins the dining experience and the fact is, eating out is ot longer an inexpensive outing. No compensation was offered, no, the message was that we erred because we didn't return our meals. Bottom line, when I'm paying good money for a meal, it should not be released to the table improperly cooked. It's unlikely we'll be returning to the Innsville anytime soon and frankly, stating it was a new chef that might have cooked our meal is no excuse.More

I lived in Winona in my formative years and always wanted to go to Innsville which has been an infamous restaurant in Winona for decades. I finally went on a Tuesday night when Memphis fire, a favourite regular was closed. We had the beef dip...and crab cakes and they were both amazing. The English Dip was incredibly moist and flavourful with prime rib and cheese on grilled rye. I often order beef dip at restaurants and I am disappointed 80 percent of the time due to low quality or dry meat being used. I was impressed and I am definitely putting Innsville in the restaurant rotation. I appreciate the old fashion vibe because this place is a slice of history.More

We had prime rib there three weeks ago and it was excellent. Just tell them how you want it cooked. Service was good. Upstairs in the dining room will be ok. Jeff
