About
Specialties The Moghul's is an Indian restaurant serving mughlai dishes. Moghul cuisine is the perfect fusion of Persian recipes with spices from all over India. It was not just the richness of food but the style and grandeur with which it was presented, which made the Moghuls a class apart in hospitality. A wide array of meat dishes and bread were prepared in a clay oven popularly known as a Tandoor. History Established in 2015. A brand new restaurant open at mountain, intersection of Mud St. and Paramount Road. This restaurant will give you a feel of modern India look and traditional Indian flavoured food which would bring back memories of aromatic and exotic meat dishes in the bylanes of Old Delhi or of Hyderabadi Biryani. Having worked in the hospitality industry for more than a decade, I am happy to bring my passion for good food on a plate. Meet the Business Owner Nasreen S. Business Owner With the passion of Indian food, I created a wonderful menu with delicious mouth watering food and a traditional Indian recipe. My passion for food made me share my expertise with other Canadian food lovers. I was in a food business for the last 10 years. With so much experience in working, managing and operating the restaurant in the past, I decided to bring my own brand.

My daughter took me here for Father’s Day. The only other people in the restaurant were a couple of large groups of Indian people, dressed immaculately. This was a good sign.
The food that we had was the following: vegetable samosas, garlic naan, raita, pulao rice, vegetable biryani, chicken chilli tikka, mutter paneer, and chana masala. The service was good and everything came to us in a timely manner.
Everything was so good. I would return.

Ordered for takeout. Most delicious Butter Chicken I’ve ever had with generous tasty sides. The fresh naan was warm & fluffy. Reasonable prices too. Excellent experience overall. Looking forward to visiting again.

This place needs to figure out what it wants to be: a sit down restaurant or a takeout place. The front of house has consistently let the kitchen down.
During our latest visit: we stood awkwardly at the door for several minutes before being greeted; once seated I had to get up to get our own menus as the server chose to tend to delivery drivers first; the first dish to arrive at our table was a single entree which arrived before the other 3 and before the rice and naan, sitting on the table and cooling while we waited for the rest of the mains which took another 15 minutes. Somehow three mains and an appetizer then arrived before the rice and naan.
This already was the second chance. It is apparent that this restaurant prioritizes takeout over seated diners. Just relocate to a smaller place and do that exclusively.
The thing is, the food is good. It’s just that the service is terrible. Wont be back to eat in but may consider takeout since this is one of the only places in Hamilton that has Hakka.

We are big fans of Amaya Express Brant St which has served us 35+ excellent meals in a row over 5 years. Having recently moved to Stoney Creek from Burlington, we hoped to find a local restaurant called The Moghul's a decent alternative, but were sadly disappointed.
Like Amaya, The Moghul's has a Dinner for Two with the exact same elements: 3 entrees (2 of which can be meat dishes), basmati rice, naan, appetizers and a small dessert. They even use the same type of reusable containers for entrees. But here all similarity ends.
We ordered Dinner for Two for pickup, choosing as entrees the beef with spinach sauce, butter chicken & aloo ghobi (potato & cauliflower). None of these were very tasty and the butter chicken was unrecognizable - overcooked meat in a too-sweet tomato sauce that was barely palatable.
We were sadly disappointed with the food quality and will not be back.

First off, we love Indian cuisine. We will normally venture out to Brampton for it, but if we just want take-out we order in the city. We like the quality of the food at Moghul's but I have to say that after last night's experience with staff, we will no longer be ordering there. We are very consistent with the dishes we order as we know what we like. I'm a vegetarian and will get vegetable biryani, palak paneer as well as onion bhaji and samosas. My boyfriend gets chicken tikka masala and sometimes his own chicken biryani or we share the vegetable biryani, depends how hungry we are and if we want a ton of leftovers. Last night I called and ordered and when my bf went to pick up... they had prepared butter chicken, not chicken tikka masala. When my bf told them that was a mistake, they said no, that is what you ordered. The man insisted and argued with my bf for so long, my bf said just make me a chicken tikka masala quick and I'll take both (Again, cause that's what he eats) He said the man kept saying that isn't what "she" ordered on the phone and you weren't the one that called to order. When my bf came home and told me, I called to speak to him. He again kept telling me we ordered the butter chicken and that he has worked there for years and he knows what he is doing. I had to hang up because I was getting nowhere. I just wanted him to acknowledge and apologize for the mistake at that point, but no, nothing! Maybe I should have recorded the conversation so I could have gotten what I actually ordered. Goodbye Moghul's

We hosted a volunteer appreciation dinner at the restaurant and we were very satisfied with their level of service - easy to work with, friendly, flexible and very accommodating to the entire group. The buffet we had was delicious and had several options to choose from, would recommend this restaurant

We have ordered take out several times from here and the 1st couple of times were great!! The last two times have been bland and no very spicy at all - almost as if they had used tomato soup. Such a disappointment :-(

We went to the Moghul on a Friday. evening. The restaurant was new clean and spacious. They could have added many more tables but the had it spacious. The food was great. It had just the right amount of spice and great flavors. It was some of the best i have eaten in Hamilton. I had an eggplant in paneer sauce. Cannot remember the Indian name but it was great. My colleagues had meat dishes. Overall it was about 20 dollars per person and worth it. Drinks are extra. I will have to try their lunch buffet during the week sometime. I will definitely return.

I had been craving Indian cuisine for a while now, and got around to ordering it online through skip the dishes. Firstly, Thank you delivery guy for waiting, my stupidhead forgot to charge my phone! Secondly, I ordered Samosas, Paneer Korma, and some garlic naan. OH my stars this Paneer Korma is like heaven in my mouth right now. I thought Palak Paneer was my favourite, NOT ANYMORE!!! Heads up, they dont deliver cutlery, but I didn't even need it. I just used my fingers and naan! ( I will probably use cutlery for my leftovers tomorrow) Perfect size samosas and Naan. Seriously SO GOOD. Thank you Moghuls!

If you're in the mood for Indian food this restaurant is a must try.
They have a hot buffet and takeout as well.
We've eaten in and had take out on numerous occasion.
Food and service is good and prices reasonable.

I visited The Moghul restaurant with a number of colleagues for lunch. The décor was pleasant and looked clean - (not quite as formal as their website may suggest). We all opted for the lunch buffet which I believe was $15. Buffets can be a gamble in terms of quality, but I thought the food was well prepared/presented and there was a good range of options to suit everyone (vegetarian, spicy, mild spice, etc) and overall found most things delicious! There were the standard items (e.g. butter chicken, chicken korma) and many new items for me to try. That's the upside of a buffet - a little of this, a little of that. Surprisingly there were only a few other people in the restaurant which made it great for our larger group. I will definitely return, even though I don't live or work in that part of the city. I would recommend the buffet unless you have an absolute favourite dish. They should post the buffet hours/availability on their website - I called recently and was told it's offered Mon - Wed for dinner and daily for lunch.
