Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

Sometimes you don't know what you don't know. Yesterday I was at a bagel diner that I thought was Wonderful. I thought so right until I came in this restaurant today. Without writing a strong involved review I will just simplify it. If you are a person that would love a top quality New York City Deli, this is it.

Service was fine but the food left a lot to be desired. Pastrami, corned beef, matzo ball soup were all unimpressive.

Happened to stop in on Friday and tried their daily soup, Tomato Dill. Have it served with cheese and crackers. It is wonderful. I also had a vegetarian pasta dish that was very good. I liked it so much so I went back on Sunday for breakfast. The banana french toast was incredible.

The deli serves very good corn beef sandwiches. Great menu to choose from, place was clean, food came out quick and the staff was friendly.

I have been to TooJay's many times and this particular location about 12 times. This location is a solid performer and as good as any of their other locations. Deli food has lost popularity in the US and TooJay's has adjusted. For example, last time I was there I got a grilled chicken salad and it was excellent. My family... More

Friendly, clean and relaxed environment. We kicked off our lunch with crab stuffed mushrooms and they were delicious. Followed that with Pastrami and Reuben sandwiches which were good. Topped off the visit with a take out of pastries from the bakery and potato knishes. Glad we stopped at TooJays and will return in the future.

Went for breakfast while on vacation in Boca Raton. Pros: close to the hotel Cons: The food was bland and only OK. I got an omelet that had no flavor whatsoever. I also got fruit and while the grapes were fine, the pineapple was soggy and sad looking and the cantaloupe was under-ripe. My husband got egg and cheese on... More

Visiting family in Deerfield Beach, we visited TooJays in Boca one evening. Matzoh Ball soup was excellent...a bowl is almost a meal in itself !! Pastrami was quite good...very lean and not too salty. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars was the fact that the turkey reuben sandwich was just OK. Lots of turkey but very little... Keep in mind you're in Florida and NOT NY, and you'll be very satisfied with the food here. Machine cut corned beef & pastrami like you can get from any sandwich shop, but the options are very deli-like such as knishes, chicken soup with matzo balls, etc. The waitstaff is terrific...very patient and will get you what you want without...
