not sure what has happened to the Hare & Hounds but it was very disappointing this weekend - my husband's word - dreary! Food very mediocre and my sandwich was inedible - serious lack of atmosphere - only 1 young man behind the bar and...More

The food served here is cooked really well, the staff are incredibly friendly and the restaurant is in a beautiful location although in the middle of nowhere.

We ate here on 2 consecutive evenings and loved the food. Lots of options too for non-meat eaters. Also beautifully presented.

It's been a few years since we visited the restaurant. Variable quality some good mains but disappointing steak and ale pie. Desert was poor, pecan pie was dry and was in reality tray bake. Complaints handled well by staff .
