Spent our anniversary weekend on Cedar Key and decided to try The Island Room for our special dinner. This was our 5th visit to Cedar Key but our first to The Island Room. It won't be our last! The setting was very nice, with a...More

Our first visit this year, superb entrees—shells with tomatoe cream sauce shrimp scallops and fish, tomatoe basil goat cheese salad, and a very nice inexpensive white. We dine around the island but this place and Chef/owner Peter are tops!

Knowing that this is reopened after a major storm hit the area, we will give it another try to see if the kinks are worked out. Food and service were very good, if somewhat awkward. Food is presented on trolleys, or what appear to be...More

One of our favorite places to eat in Cedar Key. Peter does an amazing job. Look forward to our heading to Florida every winter and eating here.

Had both dinner and brunch here. The dinner was excellent - seafood dishes were tasty and plentiful, wine list was extensive and reasonably priced, and service was excellent. Brunch dishes were diverse (smoked salmon or duck hash), tasty and plentiful. Once again service was excellent.

My wife and I ate here for dinner on a Friday night. We arrived just after 7pm to a quiet dining room. Shortly after we arrived several other tables arrived. It got a bit noisy, but that isn’t the waitresses fault. We both had the...More

This restaurant is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico beach. It was destroyed in 2016 by Hurricane Hermine. It is totally rebuilt including the new Sand Bar. It’s nice, quiet and offers a varied menu with lots of seafood usually offered with pasta. The...More

Found this restaurant via a Local recommendation., signs not evident that a restaurant was back there. White table cloths, wine selections were adequate. Ordered the seafood pasta, asked to have the sausage omitted and they did....could have been a little more pasta but the flavor...More
