We've been going to the Cortez Kitchen for many years for great lunches and dinners. You can't beat the fresh seafood and atmosphere. The blackened grouper sandwich and dinner are always a great choice and the cheese grits as a side dish are a welcome surprise. The steamer pot is one of my husband's favorites also. Happy hour runs from... More

The Cortez Kitchen is a fun place to go but just know you won't be going inside, well sort of. The inside is just a covered porch with a lot of fans going all of the time BUT, the fish is so fresh, you know it came in that morning. The food is good, the service is okay, and there... More

I had the steamed pot. Full of shrimp, fish, clams and vegetables. The best I've ever had. My wife had the blackened scallops. Also the best she ever had. The seafood fresh and atmosphere typical of gulf coast Florida. The staff was also extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend.

We wanted to try this restaurant for a few months after finding the marina and eventually the fish market. Great outdoor eating where you seat yourself. Plenty of parking and you can even ride your bike here. Menu choices are many and the specials behind the bar awesome. We ordered fish and chips and the grouper taco with onion rings... More

My family went for dinner. It's a very casual, open air restaurant. We enjoyed the atmosphere. My wife and I had the fish and chips. The fish was excellent! The fries just ok. My son had the grilled chicken sandwich and said it wasn't great but was ok. My daughter had the popcorn shrimp. She found the taste to be... More

Went to Cortez Kitchen during Spring Break. Very busy week. Arrived around 5 PM. Was seated immediately. Not fancy but good. Two teenagers with me and they both cleaned their plates. That says something about the food. Service was good. No pressure to eat fast. Very relaxing.

The food was wonderful. The restaurant closed at 8pm but we arrived at 7 and had no issues. We ordered royal reds and they were great. All the food came out hot and the service staff was attentive to our needs.

Cortez Kitchen is nowhere near a fancy dining place. Large deck attached to a kitchen with vinyl panels to control wind and/or cold if needed. However, on a Sunday afternoon around 4;00 PM, the place was full. Free entertainment provided, musicians were actually pretty good. Service is adequate, but waitress is kept very busy due to crowd. Greatest difficulty was... More

The restaurant came highly recommended but we left disappointed. The food was okay but the service was terrible. We seemed like we were a nuisance to the waitress.
