We had the choice of the whole menu or a good variety of lunch specials for about $10 compared to $25ish on the dinner menu.. Started with a cup of very good gumbo. Then I had the shrimp poboy, fried popcorn shrimp with lettuce and tomato, a little bland. He had southwest mahi mahi. Mine was fine. His was better.... More

This is definitely my favorite place to eat on the Gulf. We always have great service, wonderful food, fabulous view. Our group of eight were seated right away. When we asked questions, our fabulous server, Maddie, was there to give us all the answers. She was delightful, efficient, helpful, courteous, and the best server ever! She delivered our wonderful meals... More

After reading reviews that seemed to be mostly very good, my husband and I decided to enjoy a meal at the Crab Trap in Destin Florida. The view was amazing and the staff friendly. The menu was just what we'd seen online and things seemed to be fine. After being told I have a "mixed fish" allergy several months ago,... More

They mainly serve sea food and everything is freshly caught that day. The portions are large and you should expect lefnautical tovers. It is a very nice nautical atmosphere.

Really disappointed in my Alaskan King Crab experiance at the Crab Trap. The salt was overwhelming. Three of us tried it and everyone was of the same opinion. I couldn't even give my crab legs away to my dining companions. Being from La.. we are all accustomed to seasoning be it mild or strong but this was just bad. One... More

It's just a (tourist) trap. Food is nothing special. Service is kind of OK. During summer and spring break it's very crowded and noisy. When winter comes and tourists go it's frequently deserted.
