We have eaten at many Mexican Restaurants because we like the food, usually. Not this time at this restaurant. I ordered a burrito meal and the burrito came with only meat in it! No cheese, onions, peppers or any other item. The meat was so...tough I chewed until my mouth was tired! Didn’t eat much of it. There was something awful all over the tomato and lettuce, so I couldn’t eat any of it. My wife only ate a small portion of her food also. We will not be back to Don Pepes.More

The food was horrible as well as the service. The hostess was very nice doing her best. The food came out. If it was out of a can it was edible. Beans, cheese salsa. All okay. Meat ugh. I went outside to have a smoke....The kitchen staff went out to a “cooler” I guess. The door opened and smelled like death. I saw them come back and forth and take death food into the restaurant to serve up. Gross.More

Second time I've been here. Small mom and pop type Mexican restaurant with great food at reasonable prices.

Adorable restaurant, converted old house. Lots of character. Margaritas are delicious! Attentive staff. Great food.

Took a friend here to celebrate her birthday. Cute little place in historical quaint downtown. The menu is deverse and very fairly priced. I ordered Mexican-style chicken breast with rice, refried beans and guacamole salad. My chicken was seasoned well, but I could hardly cut...it with a knife. Our server was prompt but had the attitude of wishing to be anywhere else but there. Oh well. Maybe it was just an "off" kinda day as I see they have received many positive reviews. If in the area again I may try again.More

Went there at 5;30 understood that we would have a little wait because we had a party of 6, but except for a beer by 7:15 we still had not been served. So after watching the waiter throw menus around and just having a awful...attitude, we decided to leave. Will never go back...More

Had to do take out because of the current virus situation in the United States and in the world. Both my cousin and I took the food back to her house and enjoyed it very much. Enough chips for more people. Salsa could be a...little thicker.More

you are dining in a converted old Florida home. you are seated kind of close together so one inspect what your neighbor is having for supper. Food is pretty good and it is fresh.

We’ve gone to Don Pepe’s on occasion and enjoyed it. I like the enchilada suiza. Delicious. The portions are big and plenty of food. They only serve wine and beer so the margaritas are made of wine which tasted weird. The service is always pretty...good. I don’t like the cleaner they use to clean the tables it’s smell is overpowering. I wish they’d stop using that.More
