If you want to have that experience dining on the river, this is the place. Our waitress was chatty and so friendly even though the place was packed with diners at the peak dinner hour. We enjoyed our food (fried clams platter and kids mac...& cheese). This is a dog friendly restaurant.More

So this is off the beaten path impossible to park “gem” right in the water. Part picnic area atmosphere with some very good seafood choices. Menu has many options for non seafood people. Service was good and consistent. As I mentioned parking can be an...adventure in itself.More

Don't know if they were having a "Bad Day" or "What" but I was embarrassed taking visiting family there. 'A Huge Let Down' ... service sucked bad; took forever and had to ask for a waitress. Was told that she had a "big-table" of ten....Yet other waitresses were standing around at the bar. Leads me to believe in poor management. We asked for two margaritas and 3 beers. That was a bad decision; took over 20 minutes to get them. Order our dinner; when it finally came the fries were cold and shrimp was rubbery due to sitting too long. Tilapia wasn't hot. The only thing anyone at the table liked was the hamburger. The waitress never came back to the table until we were leaving. I kepted my mouth shut ... Couldn't understannd why as many times I have been here the food and service has always been great; but when there is a crowd they panic. I'll know to stay away when people are standing in line waiting to be seated.More

Another place right on the water with delicious food. Don’t be discouraged by the full and limited parking lot (connected to the motel), there’s more parking available across the street. And I have to mention how appreciative and surprised & impressed I was that motorist...actually yield and stop for pedestrians waiting to cross the street!! Toto, we’re not in Kansas (Fort Lauderdale) anymore. We had the sweetest, most accommodating waitress who wore a fancy rhinestone belt (sorry I don’t remember her name). Food was great & the fish tacos were amazing!!More

After the long ride in our boat (we forgot our cooler of drinks...beer) so we were looking forward to a nice little dinner and brew! This place was hopping!! We thought we'd have to wait, but we decided to just sit at the bar. One...can also sit at the railing with high seats if available. The restaurant is on Rainbow River with a lovely view! My hubby and I both had the fried grouper fingers and shrimp platter, and we thought is was delicious! Beer and frozen pina coladas were our preferred drinks! Everything was very yummy! The service was a bit slow, but we are realists and non complainers and seeing they were extremely busy, we just enjoyed the moment and the beauty of this land!More

The location is tricky to find but well worth the find. Parking is limited but the food outshines that negative. Waitress was friendly, quick and aimed to please this large group of pple. Hush puppies seemed to be the hit at this table. Fish and...chicken good selections. This eating establishment was outside.More

The Blue Gator is a fun place located on The Withlacoochee River. We stopped here for a drink and appetizer. Danielle, our server, was personable, efficient, polite and friendly. Staff didn't have masks on because this is an outdoor, open air facility My Old Fashion...drink was made correctly. We ordered The Trio appetizer...we picked onion rings, mushrooms and jalapeño poppers. The trio was temperature hot, very tasty with great saucesMore

Blue Gator is our favorite place to eat. The coconut shrimp with sweet/spicy chili sauce is outstanding! The staff was cleaning condiments bottles, salt/pepper, napkin holder and tables which is a must with Covid. Highly recommend you going there. Blue Gator is the BEST!

While staying 3 nights at the attached motel we went for dinner on a weeknight . Not too crowded and Buick service. Afttwe both ordered frog legs which we had there before and were craving all day our server informed us it would be a...while as they had to pull more out. . 55 minutes after we otter got served. Upon pulling them apart I noticed huge pink and cold centers. My friends were the same. We informed our server and decided to go elsewhere. She brand our bill for our beverages and informed us she had taken them off the bill.More

Pretty good seafood, sandwiches and bar food with a pretty well rounded menu with a location right on the river with a great view. Not a lot of parking so you may have to get creative.
