Great location, next to the river, with a varied menu including many local dishes/ingredients and something for everyone. The service was a little 'intense' and the locations remoteness was the excuse for not taking plastic when the bill came. Definitely worth a visit, just make...More

Beautiful place to visit while in everglades city. A lot of history, photos, storytelling and game mounts on the walls. The hotel is unable to book but the villa is available and the restaurant and bar isn't open some time. Worth time to check it...More

Many rooms to eat in ; nice shop to secure unique hot sauces. Cool as you can eat on a veranda over water. Imagine the celebrities and even 5 presidents who frequented this sports establishment. Lots of antiques and paneling.

Stopped by for lunch while out sight seeing. Building is historic and full of interesting things. Building interior is also dusty, and poorly kept. Dining experience was the biggest disappointment. Alligator bites were chewy. Caesar salad was not a caesar salad. No Parmesan, dressing on...More

Amazing place inside like stepping back 80-100 years as a gentleman's sporting club/ resort, but open to the public for lunch on the verandah. Lots of history via press cuttings in foyer- interesting. In other parts of Florida it would be of greater note due...More
