It is the perfect example of a raw bar and does it very well at very reasonable prices. In addition they have live music, a lovely view at the end of a long canal and they make Boar's Head subs, cheesesteaks and hoagies. They should...More
Southport Raw Bar is a very nice local place to eat and spend time. Here you'll find great sea food: oysters served raw, cooked or grilled clams, mussles, soups etc. Prices are really affordable. Many kinds of beer. You may also have the one and...More

After work met some friends for dinner on the recommendation of another foodie. The place was busy but well staffed. We had a casual dinner on the deck. The food was awesome. I had the grilled oysters and sreamed shrimp. Fresh and delicious. I will...More
We are very happy you liked it, our staff work very hard to make it just right. Buddy & "The Raw Bar Gang"
Hands down, my favorite raw bar. Nothing has changed here for decades, and that's precisely why this place is so good and popular among locals. Oysters, baked clams and old bay shrimp, top the list. Upscale dining, go somewhere else, casual hangout, definitely.
Thank you, we look forward to your next visit. Buddy & "The Raw Bar Gang"

My son and I had dinner here and the food was really good. I just had the Oyster on the half shell. Just a nice place to kick back, have oysters or other things that you may prefer. Love the Southport Raw Bar. Try it,...More
I grew up very near this restaurant and the place brings back good memories of a time gone past. The 17th Street Causeway looks, (as well as the rest of the "Gold coast") a whole lot different than when I was a kid and life...More
Haven't been back to this restaurant in about 15 years. Ha! Still the same. A fun place for those in the boat business to hang out. Canal view. Great wait staff. We had fried shrimp and scallops. Ok. Good price. It's about the beer anyway...More
Was in the area last week w/my teen son. I was googling eateries suitable for teens. This placed popped up on several sights. The outside of the place looked a little strange, two tiny port holes on doors, so we opened the doors to take...More
