We thoroughly enjoyed the amberjack fish dinner. We ordered it blackened with two sides. Bread was fresh and served before the meal. Salad was fresh and crisp. Service was prompt with little waiting . We will definitely return.

One of the few places where you can "dine" rather than just eat out. We were here prior to going to the theater, and took advantage if the "Early Bird" menu. This was a first for all of us, and we were pleasantly surprised by the selections. The quality is never in question. The salmon, green beans, and outstanding baked... More

Fresh well prepared seafood. The shrimp bisque is awesome, I get the starter at the seafood counter and take home when we visit. Waitstaff is informative and attentive. Always delicious. Nice atmosphere for a lovely dinner.

We dined here two times in the past week. The food was so good we had to come back a second time. We had the ahi tuna and steak. Both were excellent. Wedge salad is to die for!

When I made the reservation for 12 people, they said we'd probably be split up into two tables of six - no problem. When we got there however, they crammed us into one table and it was tight and uncomfortable. Waitress Susan never asked me if I wanted anything to drink; cleared my neighbors' salad plate but not mine, and... More

What a treat! We recently had dinner with friends at the Prawnbroker and could not have enjoyed it more. I had stone crab, my husband had skipjack, and our friends each had a small steak. Sides were wonderful, as was the warm molasses bread. Make reservation, but don't miss this!

The atmosphere was great. It was classy and old fashioned. The prime rib was excellent. All of our steaks were cooked perfectly. The crab cake was delicious. I would definitely return here. Highly recommended.

Food was very good, best clam chowder I have ever had. A bit on the pricier side but fresh seafood and good service. Decor is a bit dated, but I don't go out to eat for the decor

We had chefs special "swordfish " done to perfection . Taylor our waiter was very attentive. The hostesses were great .Drinks ( cosmos) were also terrific. The complete dinner & drinks are priced very reasonable. We'll be making it back twice a month.

Description
Walking through the front doors, guests are greeted by the in-house seafood market, where the Prawnbroker showcases their specially chosen fresh fillets of fish and beef, hand-cut on premise, that are sure to tempt the palates of all. To emphasize their commitment to buying local and bringing you the freshest seafood Ft. Myers has to offer, you'll find our hand picked selection straight from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here you'll get a peek at the sumptuous fare that you'll soon be enjoying from their comfortable yet elegant dining room. Feast your eyes on mouth-watering Snapper, Gulf Shrimp, Softshell Crabs, Mahi Mahi, and the best Grouper Florida has to offer. Small tubs of pale pink creamy shrimp bisque stand in line next to bases for both kinds of chowder - New England style being what the restaurant is most famous for, a nod to the original owners' home region. Diners consistently return to enjoy these favorites plus the greatest Florida Stone crabs (in season) and Maine Lobsters.
