It's a diner. No frills, just a place to get diner food. Liked the place-mat that had the different Florida attractions. I wouldn't expect anything amazing from this place, but it is a local equivalent of an IHOP, and I'd rather go local than chain!

Went with my family (2 children, myself & 1 man) to celebrate. Kids ordered the "Egg Delight" one scrambled, one boiled. The scrambled was runny & the boiled was straight up burnt, nearly all grey. My honey ordered the double cheeseburger which they got wrong and argued about & then corrected it with different cheeses than the menu promised. I... More

Standard breakfast. My husband and I were seated within 2 minutes at a freshly-wiped table. Waited on by a brand new server, first day on the floor. I had the two-egg breakfast and my husband got the breakfast croissant. Neither were special. The coffee was bitter and we had to ask for drink refills. Hash browns arrived cold and the... More

While now retired, I had been coming to the Clock weekly for years while working nearby. While the place is not much to look at, the food has always been consistently good and reasonably priced.

I went here recently for breakfast. The sign on the door "under new management". We were quickly seated in a booth. Service was quick and friendly. Most of the people eating here looked like local folks with their young children or older chaps enjoying their company. The breakfast was served hot and quickly with an ongoing offer to refill the... Went to this establishment to eat a quick lunch with co-workers. They have a extensive selection of food (breakfast, lunch and dinner). I order the Mahi Mahi sandwich and it was good. Everyone's food looked good and they seem to enjoy it.

I always wanted to go to this place. Finally, one night around midnight, we went. It was kind of creepy. There were about 4 people in the place and the other people looked like they had been there for years. Groupies so to speak. The menu was old and boring. The food was okay. The wait staff are dedicated to... More

The Clock is definitely worth visiting. The food is similar to the "old" dinners of 60's and 70', dinners, GREAT!. Service is good, waitresses are friendly. Worth a visit

We just started a month-long stay in Gainesville, and you can be assured that the Clock Restaurant will be seeing us often. This is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that appeals primarily to locals. Just our kind of place. You can get breakfast any time, and we enjoyed the spinach omelette and the touchdown breakfast (similar to Denny's Grand Slam). All the... More

Recently went there with my family. They had changed their hours since the last time I went and were closing in 30 minutes. I figured I would order my food to go so as not to inconvenience the staff. The waitress was very rude and frequently gave eyerolls as my family ordered. I had asked for a side of syrup... More
