went for our 40th wedding anniversary on a friends recommendation....the decor is very unique and romantic, the service was fairly quick, just had a wait for our initial drinks...the food was delicious, the salad and cordon blue, hubby had the veal parmesan, they also brought us a free dessert to celebrate

We were hoping for better food. Not really a French restaurant. More German. Rack of Lamb was overcooked. Triple Medalians had overcooked veal, ok chicken parmesan & beef stew meat vs. Filet. Everything was too sweet, even the bread (which was not edible). Who screws up bread? I guess thats their way to cover up poor food. Staff did credit... More

One waiter for the whole restaurant. We went there at 630pm thinking we would be out by 745pm in time to walk to the pier for sunset. Finally got our bill and left the restaurant at 830pm!!!! Food was good - I had the salmon. Wine list very good and reasonable. But the slow service negated all that and left... More

First impression : a bordello interior from the 1920/1930 ies. Very dark and overly ornate. Small tables clogged together in a stuffy atmosphere . One (1) waiter for the whole restaurant (at 7 p.m.). Guess he was doing the cooking as well ! Had to wait 3/4 of an hour before getting bread and the greenies on the table. Have... More

Gulfport is sometimes called the Key West North, and La Cote shines amid the ruins of an utterly Bohemian community. The ambiance is dark and serene so do not expect a typical Florida experience. Cuisine is decidedly continental heavy. Salad was garden fresh and served at room temperature. I enjoyed the Veal Picatta that could have been a bit more... More

I love a good ambiance, but this place had too much going on. It was dark, with lots of lace, silk flowers, chandelier's, old furnishings, etc. I felt like I was in my grandmother's parlor. The menu is quite extensive, and expensive. Particularly considering when you order an entree, the house salad, daily veggies and starch are automatically included. It... More

We were a party of seven, all served at the same time. The bread was to die for. Everybody's dinner was delicious and the presentation of the food on the plate was a work of art. Friendly service made you feel very comfortable.Decor right out of a Agatha Christie movie. We will all go back soon. JW

The place is defiantly different and eclectic. We went through about 4 wine choices before they had one, so not so much of a wine house. Th food seemed slopped on the plates and not what we expected. The food could do with updating and better presented. Its not how much you slop on a plate, but how its is... More

We are here last night with another couple to celebrate our belated anniversary. We started with onion soup, pate and escargot. All of which were delicious. The gentlemen agreed that this was the best soup around. For entrees we had beef bourguignon, lamb, frog legs and veal scallopini. All were very delicious. I was a little disappointed that they were... More

Our friends took us here. They hadn' been for awhile. The place is interesting. A Victoria style that is very dated. We had a nice waiter but a tad inattentive. The food was only OK. Portions were small. Where we enjoyed the visit I would not return. If you can avoid the men's room I would. It was not pleasant.
