So my son wants to do a low country boil and asks me to help him out. I check out the enticing website for Gumbo YaYa's and get so stoked, I drive over there. The place was empty - odd hour. The food was a delight. I had Shrimp Etouffe and could have eaten the very generous portion they served.... More

If you hunger for the spices of Cajun seasoning in your étouffée, seafood gumbo, red beans and rice this small local eatery will take you back to N'Awlins . Their fresh shrimp and oysters and the traditional bread pudding and doberge chocolate or lemon desserts are ummmm beyond delicious 😋

Authentic Cajun food in Jacksonville, FL with beignets as good as you get it New Orleans. Don't let the casual atmosphere fool you, the food is freshly prepared and delicious. Everything from po' boys to gumbo and jambalaya. You have to make multiple visits to try everything they offer.

My wife and I have eaten at Gumbo Ya Ya twice. It is as good as anything you would get in New Orleans. We have had gumbo, shrimp etouffee, crab dip with crusty bread, alligator tail, dirty rice and jambalaya. All were excellent, seasoned just right. I like some heat and they have their own brand of hot sauces -... More

Went for lunch with a friend who talked it up. I ordered the Voodoo burger because it was supposed to be flavored with Cajun spices. Burger was flavorless until I added hot sauce & there was more bread than meat. Fries had more seasoning. I thought it pricy for lunch. Two sandwich combos was almost $30! It took several minutes... Had a wonderful lunch with incredible service! The gumbo and other creole food was very good. The place is small, rustic and food served on plastic. Give it a try, you will be pleased and will return!

We ate here two seperate times within 2 weeks. Very good food and a great taste of NOLA. Red beans were fantastic along with the grits and shrip. Poor boys were fantastic. All of the food was very well cooked and reminded us of our many trips to New Orleans

Usually go for lunch. I feel the menu is a little hit or miss. I think I have tried most things on the menu. My go to is the sloppy roast beef po boy. Their French bread is from New Orleans and it is awesome! Definitely get a po boy. I don't care for the gumbo but you should try... More
