Fast service, good food in a friendly small cafe in Key Largo. Nothing fancy or memorable, but worth the price!

Yes, there is a doc, and he happens to not only own this tasty and friendly eatery, but his optometry practice is just a few doors down (very handy is you need a refraction with your side of refried beans). Don't be fooled by the spartan decor, the food is nothing but quality from breakfast through dinner, and the service could... More

Not overly impressed with the breakfast though staff were friendly and readily available. The breakfast okay. I did not get my eggs the way I asked for them and the grits were not great, my husband's chipped beef on toast was below par. The prices were average diner charges.

The place was crazy busy and for good reason! It advertises as a local's place and it clearly was. It's family owned and operated. They have big tables and if your party doesn't fill out the table, another party will share it, European style. The food was good, the service great and the atmosphere was fun. Definitely a place I'll... More

Doc set up a good business here: fast, hot food at reasonable prices. I'm partial to scrambled eggs with chopped ham, sliced tomatoes subbed for potatoes, and toast. There's half & half for the coffee, butter on the toast, and real eggs for $5 & change. The waitresses are friendly & efficient!

The restaurant was pretty crowded, and service was somewhat slow, but the food was pretty good. Most of the dishes lacked seasoning in my opinion, but overall were still alright. It was a little disappointing to see such few servers, all of which seemed to be pulling double or even triple duty trying to accommodate all the guests in the... More

Ate here twice for breakfast on our recent visit to key largo (that should be enough said). Daily special online and are good and good value. The ham and egg scramble is good also.

This once-great Local's favorite should be a candidate for Restaurant Impossible or Kitchen Nightmares. We used to love this place, but the quality of food has diminished greatly. The food lacks flavor and isn't presented well. The staff means well, but there's only so much they can do. My hash browns were obviously the frozen type just thrown on the... More
