Yes! The food is delicious, fresh and classic with a fun twist. Every dish has a story, which makes everyone want to talk about their own favorites from childhood. (Although I wish my family had the idea to make little mini muffins with broccoli inside). BUT....the best part is the amazing people that own and work there- little did we... More

So glad we had a reservation. This place was superb! Of course, it is off the beaten path. It is a locals favorite. Brian, aka Dirty Jesus was our server and host. He was very personable and knowledgeable. We had he appetizer trio(this included the lobster mac and cheese, yum!) we also had dinner trio (small plates/plenty food). Desert was... More

We had never heard of this restaurant, but were told by our inn keeper this was a locals place, and had been open for 7 years. Loved that it was off the hectic Duval Street, and a nice walk from our B&B. Brian was our waiter and was terrific. I had the mac, cheese and lobster - fabulous! Our dessert took... More

This place is slightly off the beaten track in a fairly residential neighborhood, but is definitely worth seeking out if you like fresh seafood. Their items range from comfort foods (Mac and lobster) to semi-classic grills with flavor twists. The appetizer trio is particularly good and almost a meal for one in itself.

We had dinner here again after skipping a year away from Key West. The service is still top notch as is the food. One option to consider is that they have both appetizer and dinner samplers, which allow one to experience multiple menus items at one sitting. Eating inside or out, you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant came up on google as top rated so we wanted to give it a try. The reviews prepared us for a small, out of the way restaurant with amazing lobster mac and cheese and great service. We had reservations and were seated almost immediately. Our server was not the many mentioned Brian (although we did get to meet... More

Located on a quiet corner in Key West. Don't tell anyone but this is where the locals come to have a great meal. Brian our server had a great personality and the entire staff made us feel like we were the only ones there. The food was spectacular and the avocado cheese cake was out of this world.

Tepid, tasteless fish and the limoncello sponge cake was dry, no lemon taste and like 2 tasty cakes stacked up. Way overpriced for that.

Had the appetizer trio and the entree trio. Both are designed as tasting menus. Both are exceptional choices. The shrimp with lime is especially well done and layered with flavors that introduce themselves and you enjoy. Brian (aka Dirty Jesus) was my server and he was both attentive and informative. He rounded out the great food. If in KW, you... More

Description
An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. makes a statement on the hushed stage of a residential neighborhood. It is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, self-proclaimed Air Force Brat, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His partner, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011. Whether from a porch seat next to pots of herbs, or inside a white dining room accented in orange, dining the Flaming Buoy way is delicious and fun.
