Wife and I went for business meeting in area and we had lunch here! We tried a few things and all were great. Blooming onion first and then ribs and chicken and great baked beers and other sides. All food was very very good and we had great service. If in area must try this place and yes the deer... More

We needed a place for lunch on the road, and we were glad we found this place. Our server (Dena, I think) was outstanding. The food was great, and FAST even during lunch rush. The only minor issues were that the cole slaw was a bit sweet for our tastes and the BBQ sandwich didn't come with a pickle. The... More

BBQ and a few other things. We were staying in the area and just happened upon this restaurant. What a good find. Great service, fast and friendly. Menu had good choices. Most of the items are of course smoked. Their BBQ sauces were good ranging from mild and sweet to hot and tangy. Give this one a try if you... More

Stopped by and had a few casuals with my sons who are visiting. We enjoyed the bartender Lauren who made a winnie the poo drink pretty good by the way. Just a pleasant stop to the start of the night. We had a few appetizers all good and lots of laughs. Well worth the time check it out and it's... More

On the way back home from a ball game with my son and daughter, my son was craving wings. We stopped and got sat in the bar area, so we could see other games that was being played. It was busy, so the bar waitress was busy. My son and I spit a barbeque sandwich and wings and my daughter... More

Our family of four stopped here for a quick lunch. Efficient, pleasant service. Very good quality food - excellent BBQ, the kids enjoyed their mac and cheese. The potato skins were awesome, and the sandwiches were terrific. Will definitely visit again!

When everyone is hungry and it's lunchtime. You see that there is very few places to stop and that you are tired of fast food. I found a great alternative to the norm at Big Wood BBBQ and Grill in Live Oak, Fl. They have a variety of food from turkey, chicken, beef, and pork to include spare ribs, chicken... More

Definitely above average. Wonderful hickory smoked flavor. The baked beans are also above average with small chunks of onion, ham and sausage. I would rate it a 5 if the sandwich was bigger. It's smaller than you usually get at a BBQ joint. I always wish for a few more bites. I would gladly pay $2 or $3 more for... More

Great BBQ, baked beans, fries, corn on the cob, bread, and salad bar. Excellent waitress. She noticed we were of the "older" generation, and kindly suggested the Family Feast which was on special. Ribs, chicken, brisket and sausage. Feeds 2 generally, but 2 couples with an added salad each provided ample food for us. Clean, nice wooden tables and booths.... More

On a drive back to SC from NOLA and the FL Gulf Coast, we forgot to stop on I-10 just west of Tallahassee, and subsequently faced the barren wasteland east bound, until thankfully we discovered the exit to Live Oak, the motels there (like the HI Express at which we stayed) and, thank goodness, Big Wood BBQ, where we had...
