Very slow service... Food came all at once... Appetizers, mains and sides... Quality is good. A nice place for a neighborhood meal if you are in the area, but not worth a drive there.

The name of the place is Sokai (not what appears in tripadvisor. The food is ok, nothing special. But the prices and the wait are too much. You shouldn't wait too long to get a dish that is just chopped raw fish with a sauce. I will not return, too expensive.

Opened in 2013, Sokai Sushi Bar is a casual fine dining restaurant, offering eclectic Japanese and Peruvian cuisine and warm hospitality in the heart of Miami. A high, open vault ceiling, exposed brick and concrete floors display the original space, while an open sushi bar, banquette seating and gentle lighting contributes to an intimate and contemporary feel. We specialize in original fusions, allowing the customer to select from an ever evolving menu and long-time favorites sourced from top quality seasonal ingredients. Our restaurant prides in differentiating from traditional Japanese and Peruvian cuisine to creative flavors that enhance your palate at every bite. Inspired by great artisanal foods of the world. We craft all of our stocks, sauces, entrees, and pastries from scratch on a daily basis. We also strive to support local producers when purchasing wine, produce, seafood and many other ingredients. Our approach is truly cooperative. We believe that every single member of the Sokai family is integral to our success and the customer's experience when visiting. Whether this is your first visit or you're a longtime guest, we promise to make your dining experience memorable. We thank your for your patronage.
