I was in downtown Miami and was staying at the JW Marriott Marquis. One evening, I had a hard time picking where to enjoy a decent happy-hour and stumbled upon DB bistro. I figured I would try Daniel Boulud's lovely little restaurant on the ground floor. I was seated immediately and the service throughout the evening was top notch. I... More

This restaurant is incredible! The food and atmosphere were top notch, to be sure, but what sent it over the top was the gracious accommodation of both the chef, and the maitre d'hotel, Christophe Chalange. I had a friend come into town to visit for her birthday, and they gave into my request to make profiteroles (which are her favourite... More

This is restaurant inside the Marriott Marquis in downtown Miami is supposed to have some connection to famous chef Daniel Boulud, so I came in with big expectations, I would say. It was more like a cafe. Not what I would call a fine dining environment. I thought the staff was pleasant, for the most part, but not well trained.... More

The menu is exciting and adventursome, with both small bites and full meals available. Service was excellent and the waiters were quite personable.

Sat at the bar for happy hour on a Thursday night... really great space and the bar is beautiful. The bartender was great very friendly and made some great cocktails but.. ordered a dirty martini with blue cheese olives and the bartender told me because of the type of cheese it would be 2 dollars more. Strangest thing I have... More

I have dined here on special occasions over the years. We have never been disappointed, but today we came on a slow day for lunch. The service was attentive, but not clingly. My coq au vin was divine, the sauce worthy of a bread dip. My fellow diner had the signature burger and remarked that he could taste all the... More

We dined at the db Bistro Moderne while we were guests at the JW Marriott Marquis. We have previously eaten at a number of Mr. Boulud's restaurants in New York City. This experience was up to that standard in terms of the ambiance and the food, which was excellent. It surpassed our prior experiences because of the maitre d'hotel, Christophe.... More

We ordered 2 pasta dishes that were not especially good. They came with no salad, nothing. When the food arrived there was about 1/3 cup of pasta in the middle of a huge plate. We were shocked. And even at that, it wasn't good enough to eat all of it. Not my favorite place. All atmosphere and price, no substance.

The food was fantastic. The experience was extra wonderful simply by the care and attention the restaurante manager paid to guests. He approached every table and made guests feel unique and special. Being in this hospitality industry I would certainly hire him should he ever choose to change jobs!

Thank Marcelo F
