It's not on the main track ie. Ocean beach but the food is excellent. Done in a "tasting style" to share we started with the speakeasy cocktail which was excellent then shared the prawns, jalapeno tails, sliders, crab and a mixture of other delicious tit bits which were all delicious. Well worth a visit. Helpful keen staff and nice ambience.

We stopped by to try the Japanese fusion and were pleasantly surprised. The hostess greeted us promptly and seated us quickly with a smile. James was a fantastic waiter - he knew is menu and the area. He was very professional and had a wonderful sense of humor with suggestions from the menu. The bartender, Julio, checked on us as... Very disappointing sushi roll, tasted fine but I had much better in other restaurants in the states. Nice organic chicken. Not expensive.

Jasmin was our server and provided excellent service. Having read one other review of poor service I suspect they had a poor server as the servers working the night we dined were quite attentive as was the hostess. Food to try that we loved: Mushroom medley, seaweed salad, garbonzo spring rolls, south beach roll, and BBQ eel roll Drinks to... More

Dinner at Zen Sai was yummy. Drinks took some time to come out but overall the food and service was good. Do not order the fried bok choy. Server recommends it but it is not good.

I posted this on yelp as well, but wanted to post this here in case people check tripadvisor instead. After reading all the great reviews, I was extremely disappointed. To be fair, we had one amazing dish - a yellow tail with truffle oil. The rest of the dishes were very mediocre. The fried rice was downright bad - the... More

We ate at Zen Sai over the Thanksgiving weekend as a family of four. The food was excellent, and the staff were accommodating of our children. Would happily return to this restaurant.

We enjoyed a tapas evening meal here which was lovely although expensive. A really good choice of tapas and really tasty. Good service.

Stayed at Essex House 4 nights and ended each night at Zen Sai. Picture purfect food that was as good to look at as it was to eat. I ate dinner here 3 of my 4 night stay. Big shout out to Julio, Ming, and Ryan. Great combination of food, fun, and drinks. Way to go Zen Sai!!!
