Great food. The menu has a wide variety of choices. Service was good. The building is historical and unique with an inviting ambience. Wish we were in town longer to visit again.

While visiting friends in Milton, we made a return visit to Blackwater Bistro. We were seated promptly on this Saturday night, but the restaurant became more crowded later. Our server was pleasant and attentive to our needs. My husband enjoyed the lobster ravioli with salad - $21.99. My friend and I shared the Atlantic Salmon with sweet mango salsa -... More

Good food, good service and a great place to spend time. Eat in or on the porch. Near the river so you can have a nice walk after.

Food was expensive and not that impressed. Waiter was very friendly, online menu was completely "off", as prices and food choices were different when we got there.

I had not eaten here in sometime and was so pleased with the meal and the service. I had the grilled chicken breast topped with portabella mushroom cap, caramelized onions and melted goat cheese with side dish of lima beans. YUM. My friend had the daily special of beef tips over rice with side of mac and cheese and hummingbird... More

My husband and I ate here this Friday evening. I had chicken parmesan and he had the triple threat cajun pasta. My chicken was so burnt it was dark brown. It had a charred taste that was not good. I usually complain but I didn't say anything. He said his pasta was really good. I also had a very mediocre... More

We went to Milton for our great-niece's wedding. In her wedding announcement she mentioned they had had their first date here. Then, two years later, her husband proposed to her here. So we had to check it out. It was worth the trip. This was a former country doctor's home, 100 years old, changed hands several times; and opened as... More

Description
recipient of the Best Restaurant Milton and Outstanding Business of the Year: Mainstreet Florida awards. It is owned and operated by a Navy Lt. Commander. The food is creative with a fantastic appetizer Artichoke Cheesecake and their entrees are great. One of my favorites is the Chef's Choice pizza with things like carmelized onions, roasted red bell pepper, goat's cheese, portobello mushrooms, etc. and delicious cheese on top. They have a simple wine there called Chocolate Box that is really interesting because of it's slight chocolate aroma, but is not expensive.
