We dined on the patio for a lovely evening. The wait staff and the food were excellent. The tempura fried artichoke hearts were light and piping hot. The Filet Napoleon was able to be cut with a butter knife and the rack of lamb was...lightly crust and tender.
A very enjoyable dining experience.More
Great dining option in the heart of the action in downtown Mt. Dora. Very nice indoor and outdoor dining areas. Beautifully decorated in a way that is nice enough for a special occasion dinner but casual enough for lunch in shorts with friends. The food...for lunch was outstanding. The onion soup and the burgers were clear winners. The desserts disappointed compared to the rest of the experience. Really want to come back for dinner. Also love the name!More
Friends recommended dinner at the Goblin Market in Mt Dora when they heard we were visiting here. I had grilled shrimp with an amazing Horseradish Sauce and my spouse had Salmon. Both were spectacularly good! We dined in the rear courtyard under the palm trees...and umbrellas. Picture worthy! Our wait staff was attentive without being fussy and knew the nuances of the foods we chose. Ended the evening with the flourless chocolate cake. Just could not end the evening without sharing our not give star but fifty star experience at Goblin Market!More
We had a great lunch! We alled before as we would arrive close to closing. They told us they would wait. It was exceptional! Took a boat tour and most restaurants were closed when we were done. Had the most amazing dinner. Fish prepared brilliantly!...Great wine and the server Ryan was excellent! Don't pass this great opportunity to enjoy excellent cuisine! We will come again next time in Florida!More
I have never had a better French onion soup. Bar none. My wife had the Florida shrimp. It was a bit musty and not very delicious. Even the vegetables surrounding and the horseradish sauce which normally we love was not that pleasant. The atmosphere was...wonderful and the personnel / wait staff also was exemplary.More
Recommended to us, so we tried it for a late lunch. Promptly greeted and seated - but at a 2 top when there were plenty of open 4 tops available. I thought it was due to social distancing, but nope - in a bit a...3some was seated there. Not happy. Waiter was also prompt and efficient. Food came out rather oddly though - people who arrived after us received their food before us - when they ordered the exact same thing. Which was Onion Soup - it was a wet chilly day and this was incredibly popular. For good reason - it was delicious! Loved the touch of piling crispy fried onions atop the melted cheese! Hubs got a fish sandwich - he loved the toasted brioche bun - kept the bun as crisp as the fish. Fries and a side pilaf salad accompanied his meal - both were good.
The food was a solid 5. Points were lost on seating, food delivery, and overall noisy ambiance. It was enjoyable meal, but not a positive dining experience. If I was part of a group, seated at a better table making our own noise - prob be OK. As a couple - don’t see us returning.More
