We had breakfast in the Kona. First of all make sure you have a reservation. They were busy and working to get people through, but the service was to standard. We tried four different breakfasts to include the Tonga Toast, but the favorite was definitely the Big Kahuna breakfast. If you just want the Tonga Toast, go to Captain Cooks,... More

I was happy to see that teriyaki steak was on the lunch menu, it was delicious. They should bring it back for dinner. Last year we had a horrible steak dinner. The rest of the meal was just so-so. I had the crab cakes and they were bland. The pot stickers were still good. I also had tuna poke, it... More

It used to be so beautiful! A waterfall in the lobby and the pool connecting to the beach... And then they did construction.

Full disclosure, I am a lifelong Disney fan and visit WDW at least once per year. We always try to have breakfast at the Kona Café once per trip when we visit WDW. I take my reviews on TripAdvisor very seriously and it troubles to me to report that this visit was just average. The food was OK, there were... More

My backside hadn't even touched the seat when the waitress barked asking what I wanted to drink. I pointed out that firstly, I hadn't even looked at the menu and secondly, the rest of the party were not seated yet and were in the toilet. Great start. Once the others had arrived I have to agree with another recent reviewer... More

By far one of our better breakfast at WDW. I love the Pancakes and Kona Coffee. Make sure you have enough time to relax and enjoy. Service is somewhat slow but we enjoy this to relax and have the Kona coffee before the hectic day in park. Love the Poly gift show down stairs and taking the resort monorail to... More

We weren't staying at this Hotel however have visited the Tambu Lounge before on many occasions including today for a few drinks. It was a stop off whilst waiting for our bus to our Hotel via the Monorail. We had a few Bud Lights and a Margarita - perfect location, (could see the castle from our seats) great atmosphere and... They really like to turn the tables. When we wanted to drink our cocktails a little before ordering we had a manager come over and prompt us to order. Sushi was strange. Ahi Tuna was way way too spicy and we like hot spicy food. Check was delivered when the last course was served even though they had just delivered... More

We couldn't decide when we booked this to eat dinner or breakfast. We went to dinner here. The food was ok, not a ton of choices but each found something we wanted. (if you have picky eaters I would avoid) Food was average but, didn't blow my socks off. If I wasn't on the Dining Plan I would be very... More

Description
The Kona Cafe infuses a bit of Asian zest into traditional American breakfast, lunch and dinner fare in Disney's Polynesian Resort. Indulge in the scrumptious cinnamon and banana-stuffed Tonga Toast or choose from a variety of more savory breakfast options like a variety of egg dishes and pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. At midday, satisfy your hunger with an Island chicken sandwich and housemade sweet potato chips, shrimp and scallops, or other tasty entrees. Dine in the evening on delicacies such as a selection of fresh fish, grilled ginger-crusted ribeye steak or coconut almond chicken. As you enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this Polynesian restaurant, feast your eyes across the onstage open pastry kitchen that prepares divine desserts. Kona Cafe offers authentic Kona coffee as a perfect pairing to these pastries, or as a rich addition to any meal.
