We have been to Jiko multiple times and have greatly enjoyed our meals every time. There is always something new and tasty to try on the menu. The staff is very knowledgeable and have made great suggestions to allow us to fully enjoy our meals. The location within the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort is very unique and interesting to explore.... We selected this upscale restaurant for our first night at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We arrived at our reservation time of 18:00 to find the place about 20% full. We were greeted by our server from Morocco, Omar who possessed an excellent professional presence and knowledge. We had a white wine for the wife and a draft beer for myself.... More

This was such a delight that we ate dinner here two nights in a row. The menu is inventive and interesting. Our servers both nights were very attentive. In fact, the first night was so yummy that even our kids (9, 7, and 3) asked to go back. Highly recommend the lamb tagine.

Jiko is worth the trip to Animal Kingdom Lodge. The food is delicious, has some unusual options, and service is top notch. I started with the cheese board and salad. The cheeses were tasty and well presented, while the salad was fresh and well dressed. My entree was the lamb shank. Overall it was good, but the portion was immense.... More

Open to Animal Kingdom Lodge guests, this extra expense tour was absolutely well worth the cost. Reservations required. Groups limited to 12 adventurers. Experience a late day drive through the savannas then top it off with a family style dinner with the group at Jiko-The Cooking Place. Jiko is a 5 star dining experience inside Jambo House Lodge. The 4... More

This may be the nicest restaurant I've ever been to. The food was cooked to perfection and you have so much to choose from. If you get the chance to go to this restaurant, you must go. It is expensive but the quality of the food, alcohol and service you will receive make it worth every penny.

This place is the most inviting from the moment you walk through the door. The service is impeccable! We debated on the wild boar medallions but they came highly recommended on various sites and we were not disappointed. They are expensive and small but the flavor is wonderful. Your taste buds will explode with all the new and exciting flavors... More

This was one of three signature meals we had while at Disney. While it wasn't bad by any means, it was probably our least favorite of the three. The flavors of the food were great and I really loved the décor of the restaurant. However, my husband thought his portion of elk was quite small, and our waiter was just... More

This easily would be one of my favorite restaurants in any town, and a surprise to find this gem in Disney while on a business trip. My husband's filet was cooked to perfection and had a unique smokey oak-grilled flavor. I had the short ribs, which were also delicious and prepared with African flare. The meat was tender and not...
