OMG, I was in town and decided to stop in and try it out. From the outside, it looks like you basic mom and pops place. But when you get to taste the food it just reminds you of your abuelitas (grandma) cooking. I went for the mofongo with pernil and boy was it delicious. The portion was way more... More

We stumbled upon the place by accident. The restaurant was very clean and bigger than it appeared on the outside. Our waitress was friendly and offered suggested as it was our 1st time in the restaurant. Like usual, we ordered more than we could eat, but it was worth it. It all had good flavor and it was fresh. We... More

Love the food. Very very good Puerto Rican food. The mofongo was delicious. The pasteles, alcaparrias and sorrullitos were very good. Taste was just like eating "en casa de la abuela".

I was pleasantly surprise at the food served in this unassuming local restaurant. The ambience is cantina style, so don’t think you’re going to a fancy, dress-up place. Yet, the good food makes up for the modest furnishings. Our server, a young lady from New York City, took care of us equally well in Spanish (for me) and English (for... More

Very good food. It was a bit greasy, but that is the way it's supposed to be. I don't know what the first reviewer is talking about unless things have changed since that review or s/he is used to FL or NY PR food. I am from the island and this was authentic PR food (including the alcapurrias). We called... More
