I was there with a party of 13 last week and we had an incredible time. We were there early enough to get a great table without waiting. Though the restaurant was packed, we were waited on as if we were the only ones there. Drinks and food came quickly and both were delicious. Members of our group had the... More

Friendly, fun and delicious. This restaurant is a great "old florida" experience with wonderful food and a beautiful island atmosphere. We went for lunch and loved it so much, we went again for dinner (and we were not even staying on the island). We were greeted by Dorothy, the hostess, who gave us a historical summary of the island. She... More

We had group of 26 staying on North Captiva for the week, and wanted to have a nice dinner out. The restaurant accommodated our group, sat us on the front porch and served us a delicious meal. The harbormaster helped us all dock, (we were on three vessels), took our photo and saw us off. Our servers were efficient and... More

Awesome place for atmosphere and food is pretty good. Loved the Grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich and Cheesburger. Lots of docks to park your boats. Only downfall is that the only sides are cole slaw and potato salad. You way to get there is by own boat or ferry. Tons of dollar bills attached to walls with customer signatures. Views are... More

We stayed in a room at the Inn and ate all of our meals there for several days. Mark and his staff (Katie B, Katie C, Scott, Sam and all the others) were so friendly and made us feel so welcome there. The food was amazing and Katie C made wonderful Cabbage Creepers for us. It was a wonderful, laid... More

Went by water taxi from Pine Island to Cabbage Key. Mid- afternoon so we were seated without a wait. I had the blackened chicken with black beans and rice. It was very tasty. My wife had chicken on a salad, also good. Service was 1st class and the atmosphere is great. Nice afternoon trip when in the area.

Walked into the restaurant today and was greeted by Dorothy saying welcome back Steve. She remembered me from two months ago. Told her we needed a table for six including my handicapped nephew, could you help us out even though the place was packed. Dorothy and all the staff took care of our special needs and made our experience a... More

We rented a boat from Captiva Island and made our way to Cabbage Key for lunch and some senior pictures. Dorothy who greeted us was super personable and lovely to talk to! We were directed to the bar to wait. . . barely had time for one drink and we were seated. The ambiance, the service and the food was... More

Stopped on cabbage key after shelling with the family on Cayo Costa. Had to get the cheeseburger (although some got seafood). Service was excellent even though they were crazy busy. Very tasty and very unique. Loved it!

Cabbage Key is a 100 acre island located five miles off of Pine Island, FL in the Pine Island Sound. The Inn, built in the 1940's by the family of Mary Roberts Rinehart, now houses our famous Restaurant & Dollar Bill Bar and six guest rooms. The rooms in the Inn are all different with old Florida charm - they do not have TVs, phones, or refrigerators. We have seven cottages on the island, ranging from a 1 bedroom/1 bath cottage to 3 bedroom/3 bath waterfront units. All cottages have refrigerators, televisions (no cable) and coffee makers, some units have full kitchens. Our restaurant is open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. If you want to relax on a beach...we do not have one here. But, Cayo Costa is a close kayak or boat ride away. This is a great retreat to discover "Old Florida", relax with a book, fish from our docks & watch the boats go by.
