We were really in the mood for some Pad Thai. I had the chicken and my husband had the shrimp. Service was fast. Food was good and plentiful. There was enough leftover to give us each a large serving for lunch the next day.

While staying at The Postcard Inn (be sure to rent a beach cabana from John!), we visited Basil Leaf for dinner. Ah-may-zing! Tom Kah Gai, Chicken Satay, Edamame for appetizers. The Tom Kah Gai was the best I've ever had. Generous pours of wine. Delicious iced thai tea and coffee. Entrees were pad thai (HUGE portion, filled up and had... More

Went for lunch. My sweet and sour chicken was too salty and chicken was tough as shoe leather. The veggies were rubbery. My husband had vegetable soup with shrimp tempura. The soup was bland but the deep fried shrimp was good. My daughter had Pad Thia. Her chicken was also very tough. None of us would eat here again. The... More

Small restaurant, mom and pop type of place. Sushi was wonderful and large servings. Had the "boat" of a variety of sushi, not to mention appetizers.

Lunch with my honey. Great miso soup, seaweed salad terrific. But the sushi was amazing: fresh fresh fresh! Volcano roll is great!

The atmosphere is nothing fabulous but the sushi is fantastic! The soups are rich and filled with fresh ingredients. Cooked food has succulent sauces and the Sushi is creative, delicious and presented beautifully. We go 3 times a week but it gets very busy on Fri & Sat nights. A great spot on St. Pete Beach!

We landed here one stormy night based on a recommendation from a friend when we said we wanted thai. This place actually has amazing Japenese food as well as Thai, and I have to admit, i mostly go Japanese here exclusively. The spicy edamame are unbelievable. The miso is solid like a classic should be, and the sushi...wow..the sushi! It's... More

What this place lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for it with delicious food, good prices and a great location. We tried seven dishes, and they were very good.

This was a real treat. Delicious Thai and Japanese food at a very reasonable price. As vegetarians the emphasis on seafood at most restaurants gets a little challenging. It was a delight to find this spot so close to our hotel.

If you're like me, you love a great Thai restaurant. As most of you know all too well, the number of mediocre Thai spots FAR outweigh the real gems. Fortunately for St Pete Beach, Basil Leaf is one of those rare diamonds in the rough. Everything about our experience was spot on, and we tend to be fairly picky. My... More
