Stopped in here for lunch. The Arepa's were on the mark, but my favorite item, and the one that I will come back for many times again, is the soup. A huge portion, with squash, chicken drumstick, yucca, potato, corn on the cob, and a prefect blend of spices. Not too salty either, a nice surprise. The restaurant itself is... More

South American food is one of my favorites, so I was eager to try some authentic Venezuelan street food. We both had the Cachapa, which is a large stuffed, sweet, corn-flour pancake. The 'Traditional' is filled with a large amount of puffy white cheese. We got the 'Full Cachapa' which adds shredded chicken and beef, shrimp and chicken salad. In... More

Although Venezuelan food has similarities to Cuban food which is common in Tampa, the differences are worth the trip to Nico's to try their wonderful food. Being married to a Venezuelan I've had authentic food for quite some time, and when I took her here for lunch on a Saturday she confirmed that this is the type of food that... More

Truly unhappy with the service and food. They served me the wrong plate and gave me an arepa with shelfish which I am highly allergic to!! I had to drive 30 minutes to get my epipen and they didn't show much concern about me but we're worried more about the bill and the food consumed.

We were looking for a good place for lunch in Tampa while visiting the zoo and we found this gem!! OMG! This place is fantastic! The food was fresh, delicious and budget friendly! We will definitely stop in again the next time we are in Tampa.

This is a new restaurant location that grew from their food truck. Don't let the strip mall location fool you because the inside is newly updated. Great selection of arepas, empanadas and the accompanying rice was tremendous. We loved everything. Kid friendly. I'm glad we tracked this down. Convenient from Lowry Zoo.

I tried the food truck once at a rally downtown so when I drove by and saw they had a location on Armenia I was excited to check it out. When we walked in we were greeted right away. Our waitress came over and took our drink order right away. She took our order soon after. We were the only... More

Great Venezuelan food! The arepas (with tasty fillings, like fresh cheese), cachapas (like sweet corn flat breads) and tequeños (kind of mozzarella sticks) are delicious! We have bought tequeños to go and they have been a hit in our gatherings! Venezuelans and non-Venezuelans have all enjoyed eating them! During the holidays the had hallacas (like a tamal) and "pan de... More

My friend, Urban, who is from Venezuela, suggested Nico's. It did not disappoint! I am a Venezuelan cuisine convert. The arepa, La Glutona, was a masterful combination of shredded chicken, beef, and shrimp. My friend Steve chose the sampler and the selection was robust and delicious. Urban ordered tequeno and they were awesome. The tostones I ordered we exceptional and... More
