Someone said you can tell a good Italian restaurant by the bread it serves. If so, Valenti's flunks. Bread was barely warm and no different than sliced, white Italian bread from the store. BUT - the food is good. I had fettuccini alfredo with shrimp and it was very good. I also had the Caesar salad and it was mediocre.... More

We were lucky to find a round table just being cleared when we walked into the Intermezzo Lounge on a Friday night. Promptly ordered our drinks, my Cosmo was excellent-so good I had two. Both couples shared a salad and our pizzas were hot, crusty and full of toppings. Pleasant service and nice atmosphere.

Reminds us of our, now closed, favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. Owned and operated by Italians. Good service, comfortable décor, lots of choices. Two of us had the Osso Bucco, one on angel hair, one on linguine, neither could finish. One other had spaghetti and meat sauce and the last had Chicken Marsala. All had a second meal to bring... My first visit to Valenti's was purely by accident. I was visiting from Texas and on my way to Port Charlotte from a day in Tampa. I75 was so congested from accidents, I decided to exit off on Venice Avenue. I was starving and passed Valenti's. I thought is was just a small pizza place, quaint looking, so I made... More

We had an excellent dinner tonight at Valenti's. The salad was delicious, crispy lettuce and delicious salad dressing..I had chicken Valenti,, and my husband ordered the veal signature dish. The service was prompt and courteous. One of my favorite dishes is chicken Florentine, and the chef offered to make it for me, but the chicken Valenti was extremely appealing and... More

We just finished dinner at Valenti's. It started of with the waitress asking "can I grab you something to drink". My wife ordered gnocchi with sauce on the side and a garden salad with blue cheese dressing on the side and I ordered capellini and meatball with bolognese sauce and a caesar salad. The salads came with some warm sliced... More

Stopped here for dinner by sense of adventure. We were met with friendly faces and the Chicken Alfredo and meat filled Ravioli was good. The serving sizes were plentiful at a good price. The restaurant was pretty full but we were seated right away. My impression was the patrons were regulars and a bit older.

Ordered a veggie pizza no cheese and a sausage and onion pizza to go, called ahead the veggie pizza had cheese, I'm highly allergic to cheese, after a half hour wait received a veggie pizza and was charged for both pizzas, in the mean time the other pizza was cold. Never again! John V.

This has turned into our Saturday night out nearly every week in the past few months. The dishes, from Osso bucco, Zuppa di pesce, veal saltimbocca and all the others we've had have been absolutely delicious. Wow!
