The chicken was really good but the mashed potato was not to my liking, not creamy enough n the gravy tasted like it came from a package or powered, cold slaw wasn't my favorite either, lacking flavor

So many choices!! Decided upon their famous chicken and were definitely not disappointed. The coating was so crispy and flavourful that I actually ate and enjoyed it (I usually hate chicken skin). The mashed potatoes and included gravy were VERY plentiful and delicious. Between my...husband & I we took home an entire container of chicken & potatoes that we couldn't eat in one sitting. We had chosen the all-inclusive dinner which came with soup (potato, ham) and dessert (choice of any of their desserts). The rhubarb custard was fantabulous and my husbands coconut cream was a dream. Our Server was efficient, informative, and friendly. We will definitely return and bring some friends.More

Dropped in to try their famous Chicken and was NOT disappointed. I had the chicken (3 large portions). The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. If your visiting they do not take Credit Cards so be sure to have cash or debit...card. Although its a large restaurant, they do get busy and you may have to wait during weekends.More

Homemade recipes are clearly the highlight of a visit here. The broasted chicken is very juicy without being at all greasy. Wide selection of homemade pies for dessert too. Checking in during COVID is a little tricky (you are encouraged to scan a URL code...to check in before entering the restaurant) so bring your cellphone, well charged, and come early so you can enjoy the trip out into the countryside to get there. Mennonite hospitality at it's best.More

Well finally found this place today august 20th 2021. My husband and I thought we'd go between lunch and dinner. We got inside and there was 4 groups of people ahead. Well done for covid with separated waiting areas. We haven't been in a restaurant...in two years now so this was splendid. We only waited 15 minutes and got our coffee quickly and a little wait for dinner but not bad at all. We both ordered the broasted chicken and it was so so good. We couldn't wait to get dessert but where so full after eating the meal. We ended up going to bakery (big mistake) bought peach pie and carrot cake and some other goodies. Just tried the carrot cake and so good and moist , icing a little to sweet not the butter icing I've had but it is good. Service great, covid rules awesome, felt safe eating inside and to all the staff excellent. We'll be back hopefully soon.More

The food was hot, fast--partly because it comes in three courses--for being so busy, and it was also very flavorful. Our waitress was in training; other than one small mistake, forgetting glasses for our drinks, everything was awesome. She gets a mulligan, as she was...in training. It was a good dining experience. The broasted chicken is actually very tasty.More

We three were seated immediately. Our server presented herself shortly thereafter. She had the personality of a bulldog. Told us to read the chalk board, and the menu under the table cover. My order was last to be taken. I asked about the soup which...had ham in it. I mentioned that I was vegetarian. She just looked at me blankly. Then I ordered an egg salad toasted sandwich, (came with luke-warm fries) Then I asked about the salad which had bacon in it. My friends enjoyed their soup. Her cold turkey arrived (sent it back to heat it up). The turkey was dry, and not enough gravy to compensate, she left half of it. The battered chicken looked over battered to death to me, but I wasn't eating it. It seemed obvious that my egg salad (too sloppy, dripped everywhere) plate was waiting for after the soup to be delivered with my friends' orders. It wasn't until about then that I noticed in small print that a vegetarian menu was available for the asking. Why didn't the bulldog server volunteer the information? At the end a lovely friendly blond girl came and asked us if we needed anything else. Needless to say we will not return. The reason we drove 1.5 hours there was on someone's recommendation. We found the shop interesting and made purchases.More

I’m not sure if you can do takeout of other things than broasted chicken. There is a picnic area with tables there under the trees so your dog doesn’t need to go into the restaurant. We have had takeout burgers & fries in... More

There isn't a dress code, but consideration should be given to the faith based community that the restaurant is owned by and to which most customers belong . My two cents ;)!
