We've been there only if we absolutely don't feel like driving to Wellington from West Palm on a weekday and we really feel like Cuban food. The place is run down, the service is horrible (except for the salt&pepper hair gentleman that has been there a very long time) everyone is unhappy, unpleasant and just lacking any type of customer... We ate dinner here last week. I had the Ropa Vieja which was delicious. The red beans and yellow rice were also very good, had empanadas for appetizers and those were also delicious. One member of our party had marinated chicken and said this was only okay. Staff was friendly and kept our water glasses filled constantly. Overall, you get... More

this place is an institution, and deservedly so: decent, serviceable cuban food with no surprises and a menu like pretty much every other cuban restaurant in florida, which is precisely the point: the ropa vieja was rich and hearty, black beans and rice quite tasty, sweet plantains as good as any i've had. is there better cuban out there? probably...... We had a group of 10 people at our party, great drinks, all ordered different dishes, food came piping hot and tasty, from the main dish to the side dishes all great, glad that we stopped at Don Ramon.

Tonight my date and I ate at Don Ramon's Restaurant. The atmosphere was nice. We both had Shrimp cocktails. I had the regular salad and my date had the Caesar salad. I had the Pork Tenderloin and she had the Bistec de Palomilla. We both had Sangria wine with dinner. For dessert we had a Flan de la Casa and... More

Consistant good food and great service. Authentic Cuban food in a great atmosphere. I've eaten here many times and have always been pleased with the food quality and service. Prices reasonable and plenty of parking. Highly recommended!

Not sure if a Cuban is the cook, as the cuban sandwich is not so good., in fact publix is cheaper and better. I never had a publix cuban sandwich but you get the idea. Don't waste your time.

We enjoyed the food in this restaurant, on our way to Lion Country Safari. Clean and nice place, food was excellent, and the price was very decent! We can only recommend this place.

Don Ramon is a solid Cuban restaurant. It's spacious and run by very nice people. The night we were there we had Cuban sandwiches (oddly served without pickles and mustard), ropa vieja (decent) and followed that up with flan and café con leche (good). Service is good and prices are reasonable so I recommend it but it just feels tired... More
