Sub par fried everything. Not for us. Luke warm food, reminded us of an old HoJos. Warm beer. Just not a good choice for a quality meal sadly.

Nothing can explain the extremely slow service at Captain Joe's. I accepted my fish entre which was fried instead of broiled because the additional delay to correct my order was unthinkable.

I have eaten here quite a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service each time. They can serve large groups, families, couples and singles and offer wonderful service each time. The food is usually fresh caught local seafood and they also have a large salad bar!

God where to start. Despite only two other diners, it took the hostess several minutes to notice and seat me. I counted at least six empty unbussed tables, most with nearly full plates of food in them. By the time I got my drink, I was the only diner. Still took my waitress 11 minutes to reappear to take my... More

The mystery is why so many people are in here actually eating this stuff. The service is beyond horrible and the food is awful.

Not being familiar with the area, we stopped here for some seafood, this was a mistake. As soon as I entered I had doubts, but having been to some fabulous dives in the past were the food is tremendous, I try to overlook aged carpet and decorations. The hostess seemed disinterested in her job and sat us. I ordered the... More

We had been on the road for several hours and needed a stop and lunch.... BBQ or fish ? Obviously we wanted Captain Joe's . I was looking for a sandwich and choose the BLT and it came with fries. I also wanted a mouthful of salad. My friend choose the salad bar and soup for her lunch. Neither of... More

we visited 1/23/17. Biscuits had an odd flavor. Slaw tasted bitter. Fish was good. Salad bar was nice. Overpriced for what they served.

The food was very good. I ordered the stuffed flounder and my lady friend ordered the fried shrimp. Both meals were delicious. I really liked their salad bar too. It has a lot to choose from. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive and I liked the rustic nautical decor. I would definitely recommend my friends to dine there.
