We live in Dalton, Ga and stop by when traveling. The food and service is A+. Small place and very easy to get to in Ellijay. The staff is always helpful and friendly supporting this restaurant...We have tried different things on the menu and everything...has been great. The wife loves the crab cakes and I like the gumbo to get started. There is a large variety on the menu. Highly recommended.-.-.More

Have been here several times so we decided to go before they closed. I ordered the catfish platter and it comes with cole slaw hushpuppies and fries. Wife ordered the shrimp platter with same sides. Their catfish filets are huge and delicious as is the...shrimp. I gave a 4 on this because of the fries. Crinkle cut and they where not good. Home fries would be better or sliced fries. Anyway this place is reasonably priced and worth the money!!More

Exceptional service and phenomenal food! You HAVE to try this place! The stuffed catfish is the best, it does take a little longer to cook due to being cooked at a low temp in a skillet to insure it gets fully cooked without being burnt...on the outside! The burgers are also fresh and never frozen! Try the Cajun Depot burger, it's the bomb!More

Loved the place under the old owners, I thought the new owner would be as good or better. Ordered Crawfish but was brought Catfish, they fixed it. Friend ordered Crab Cakes that came out almost burnt and tasted like Tuna. I also ordered Gumbo, When...I asked for File Gumbo, the waitress did not know what it was. She went to ask the Cook/Owner, she came out with a really aggressive attitude and said the Gumbo was Creole and not Cajun so did not need it. I grew up in Louisiana and Gumbo File on Gumbo is like Ketchup on Fries. We were left with such a bad experience we all said we would not go back!!!More

This was our second time eating here. Food was great but had to wait 20 minutes before anyone took our order. No one let us know they were short of help or backed up.

Went there for the first time tonight! I ordered the bayou platter! It was off the chart! I finished up about 90% of the platter! I needed a wheelbarrow to get out of the place ! Lol If you leave hungry it’s your own fault!...Thank you for the experience! I would highly recommend this place!More

I just had what was supposed to be a "Butterfly shrimp platter" and Shrimp Louisiana take out order. When I opened the bag what I had was the Al A carte shrimp which were 6 about the size of pop corn shrim along with an...order of cold french. fries I also had 6 hush puppies that were and extra charge. Very disappointed considering my meal and my wife's meal came to 43.00. Not much value for the cost!More

I've been coming here for years and everything has always been excellent. I understand it's under new management/ownership but the menu is the same and so are the recipes...but, I love the crab cakes and they are the best I've had anywhere, but the last...two times I've had them, they've been slightly overcooked and the crawfish cream on them is a tad salty. I actually prefer the remoulade instead. Also, the broccoli has always been cooked perfectly, but this time, it was undercooked. I hope they can work these little kinks out because I do love the place.More

The food was good but the service was really lacking. The menu said we were supposed to get rolls. We asked the waitress about it and she said she would check in the kitchen for, it to never be mentioned again. We had to ask...for everything and were never offered anything. When our entrees showed up, mine was delivered with crawfish instead of shrimp I had ordered. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she opened up her order pad and said let me see what you said, acting as if I lied to her about it. I would not go back just because of the service.More

It’s an appetizer, but is large enough to be an entree IMO.

Not sure how to get that. It's worth the trip. Even for an Atlantan!😎
