Visited this agritourismo which is run by Cosmo and his wife Anna. The restaurant is packed with groups and booking is advised. There is a small amount of parking by the restaurant. The food, cooked by Anna, is wonderful - my favourite the whipped ricotta...and the pasta dishes. Expect to spend at least 3 hours but could be longer. There is a set price and the menu is decided by what is in season. Cosmo is front of house and is a very genial host. If you are in Roccascalegna I would recommend. It's not just a meal but an experience.More

Great family run restaurant in Abruzzo. I had one of the best meals I have ever had in Italy. The appetizers and pastas were excellent especially the whipped ricotta. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Excellent food from local tradition with a hint of imagination. If you're staying in the area this is absolutely a must go. I had the best lamb of my life here! The owner is funny, friendly and kind, which is a big plus. Keep in...mind that reservation is probably needed if you are planning to go.More

Excellent day had by all ( 2 adults and 3 children ) The truffle hunt with Franco and his two dogs was an experience not to be forgotten! The trip was followed by a fantastic 5 course meal where the antipasti kept on flowing including...the most amazing home cured salamis and cheeses. The food was delicious - antipasti followed by 2 different pastas, lamb, pork and a lovely dessert with coffee - Cosmo was an excellent host, looking after us through. Was expensive with the truffle hunt, but well with the experience. If you’re a foodie, who doesn’t mind paying for good food, you will love it! We will be back for another meal! Thank you for a great day!More

I have been here several times with family and cannot fault the food and service. Anna uses local produce to provide authentic Abruzzi food which is very good and Cosmo is welcoming and an excellent host! I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Now and then you get lucky and you will still find a small restaurant where almost everything is cultivated and produced by the owner. Even better if there is no menu. You can be sure that everything which will be brought to your table are...based on what is freshly available just that day in the owner's garden. No menu means also another great thing - great surprises for your taste bud. And this is what we got! The small restaurant is up on the mountain side, behind a small winding route. Not a place you would drive by accident - you need to know to look for it. Our good friend, a known food lover, took us there for a dinner. We shared a bottle of good prosecco in the terrace first - peaceful place that is - and moved to the inside table after. Soon after to our table was flowing delicious antipasti after another. Cosimo explained how every savoury dish was made. I never thought that a fresh egg may taste so special with a liver sausage. We finished the dinner with a delicious pasta dish which took us high on the sky. The strong red wine was a good companion for the food and the home made liquors after the desert and coffee finished the great evening.More

What is the difference between a restaurant and an agriturismo, you might ask yourself. In the first place, you get your menu, you order your food. In the latter, you eat what is freshly available from the day, you get info on how the food...is prepared, how the raw materials are collected and so on. Cosmo and Anna are doing an amazing job in this sense. Their agriturismo is the real thing, because you don‘t only get plenty of juicy cold and warm plates for antipasto, but the explanation on how the cheese is made, on how the milk is collected from the local farmers, on the tool you neeed to make that special type of pasta, and so on. We had an incredible egg chitarra with black truffle, to die for, then lamb in the oven, so soft and tasty, like butter. Finally, homemade genziana, one of the best I ever had. Ps: only downside, the swings outside need a little oil! 😀More
