We made an outing to Greensboro to look at the craft and antique shops. Greensboro is a friendly town that obviously wants to treat visitors well. We asked for lunch recommendations. The Yesterday Cafe was suggested by more than one shop owner. It was a...More

I just left the Yesterday Cafe about an hour ago. I have been there twice prior to this for lunch, and the service was never great but the food was pretty decent. Today changed my entire opinion. I was there for almost two hours, and...More

Yesterday's lives up to its name: quaint, wooden interior; old photos of Greensboro town; southern comfort food. Our fish was fresh and sides were delicious

It’s one of the most popular places in Greensboro. Especially with those who like “down home” cuisine. Nice people. A great location. And a tasty menu.

You will hear much about the Buttermilk Pie; we didn't even have room for that. The food is very good; I suggest trying the chicken fingers. The fried green tomatoes are very good (horseradish sauce is excellent) as well as the fried okra and chicken...More

Their grouper fish special is terrific, being Cajun seasoned, with a side of very good grits. It is accompanied by a large salad which includes a cherry pepper. The glass of wine is a generous pour too. I would skip the special prime rib which...More

I don't recall any outdoor seating. Possibly a small table out in front of the store on the sidewalk. There are benches through the town.
