We have a family of 5 (3 daughters, 15, 12, 10) and we loved it. We love the history of the Club and the food and service is always 5 star. Our daughters love to get dressed up and have a night out. Our server, Spenser, went overboard to help us have a night to remember.

We ate at the hotel dining room because the highly rated cafe was closed. What a treat - even though we were dressed completely casually, we got incredible Southern hospitality in a regal old space. The service was amazing and the food was very good.

One was greated by a piano playing. The food specials were great. I could used another piece of meat (as I like to eat), but the fish was excellent. There appeared to be a little lag in service times between foods but that may have been to further conversation and to slow down the normal hurried pace. They also provided... More

It is worth to treat yourself for $30 brunch on Sunday from 10:45 am to 2:00pm with a huge variety of food. The room is beautiful, the choices are tasty, most of sweets are delicious. If you have kids, you have to pay $15 per child. For many years we are coming here and always enjoyed. For last Sunday I... More

The experience at the Grand Dining Room is nice. The food is expensive and the portions are small. All the dishes are beautifully prepared and exquisite. Very artistic. The taste is well worth the price! This was a treat for our anniversary. Everything we had was awesome!

This was a treat! The food was outstanding and we truly enjoyed the historic beauty of the restaurant. Highly recommend this enchanting stop! My husband enjoyed the scallops and crab dish, while our six year old had fried shrimp that were HUGE and tasty! I enjoyed the Greek salad with chunks of feta cheese and grilled shrimp. Loved it all!

With the setting, I expected a very pricey dining experience, but at only $12, the buffet is a great option for breakfast! However, dining off the menu is equally affordable, although the service is a touch slower, predictably. Overall, though, I enjoyed several breakfasts in the main dining room with a five-star feel and service. Don't assume that this option... More

It is worth the treat to eat in this beautiful dining room. We treated ourselves to a more expensive dinner at the Crane Cottage and opted to have the breakfast buffet in the grand dining room. There were lots of choices and al was cooked well. The only complaint is there was no toast or English Muffins -- just biscuits.... More

We were on Jekyll for the week of Thanksgiving and thought we would end our trip by having Sunday Brunch at The Grand Dining Room. It was definitely worth it. The food and service were fantastic. They had anything one could think of, from smoked salmon to omelets to scrumptious desserts. I recommend that you save your pennies to go.... More

Description
The Jekyll Island Club Hotel Grand Dining Room continues to be the scene of social gatherings and gourmet experiences. Beautifully restored in the Victorian mode, the room is dominated by Ionic columns and gleaming white woodwork. Three handsome fireplaces, complete with intricately carved mantle pieces and marble surrounds, add warmth and cheer on a winter’s day. The lawns and the river can be seen through expansive windows, and the first blossoms of crepe myrtle and magnolia trees color the landscape in early spring. The glow of candlelight and piano music create an atmosphere of romance and anticipation of the gourmet meal to come. A cause celebre in Southern Georgia dining is the Grand Dining Room’s Sunday brunch, a culinary and visual delight. The last Sunday of most months boasts Sunday Dinner Dance with gourmet dining and ballroom dancing.
