Located in the Killeen House Hotel, Rozzers Restaurant is open each evening , Monday to Saturday, between 6pm and 9.30pm. Head Chef Cyrille Durand takes enormous personal and professional pride in the quality of his food, which combines modern Irish and classical French culinary styles, with items like Ring of Kerry lamb, Dingle Bay lobster, a variety of daily changing fresh fish dishes and Chateaubriand being constant features on the Menu. We also take great pride in the range of dishes we provide for vegetarian and vegan tastes. All of our breads and desserts are prepared daily in-house.

We celebrated the end of our two-week self-Isolation in this wonderful place. The food was amongst the best we’ve ever had in Ireland (including much more expensive places in Dublin and Cork), the service was warm and extremely attentive, the ambiance is welcoming and laid-back, and the overall value for money is excellent. We plan to come back many times! Thanks for the great evening and the nice table!

It is wonderful to see visitors coming into the country and respecting the guidelines outlined by the Irish Government to ensure the safety of the Irish people
We were delighted to be your first night out after what we are sure felt like a very long two weeks….!
We figured if anyone was deserving of one of our coveted window tables overlooking the famous Macgillycuddy's Reeks if was your lovely family.

Having visited 3 years ago, a return visit was long overdue and once again Rozzers delivered in spades.
Geraldine, Michelle and the entire team set the benchmark for service and even in these strange times, they incorporated COVID measures in a friendly and unobtrusive manner.
The food was superb with the open seafood ravioli just as I remember while the rack of lamb lived up to the recommendation.
My wife's choice of warm brie and smoked salmon was delicate and delicious while she declared her beef to one of the best ever. Her almond tart was also wonderful.
The atmosphere and ambience of Rozzers is just wonderful and we can't wait to return. It definitely won't be a wait of three years.

Well you were dead right in saying a visit was long overdue!
We really appreciate your kind words about our Covid safety methods. A lot of work went into making sure our guests felt safe but also welcomed in the way we’ve been doing for almost 30 years.
I must commend you on your menu choice – although Michael has now retired, he is still adamant that if he was ever to have a last meal it would be Head Chef Pauls Ravioli and Rack of Kerry Lamb!!
We look forward to welcoming you and your good wife on a return visit, just don’t wait so long next time Ray.

After reading the list of top 10 restaurants in Ireland we discovered that Rozzers was in the top 5 and we happened to be in Killarney for a short break. We booked a table for dinner and the place did not disappoint. As you would expect, the food is excellent but what always makes the difference is the service. Everyone that served us were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. They also seemed to take pride in delivering a great service. Not to be missed if you are in the area. Although I have listed this as "fine dining", which it is, 40 euros for 2 courses is not expensive, especially in the centre of a tourist destination in Ireland.

In future if ever I am asked where I would recommend to go for dinner in Killarney or indeed County Kerry, "the Rozzers restaurant at Killeen House" will be my answer before they can finish their sentence. First of all the location is stunning with the sunsets over Aghadoe's amazing views and then the setting and atmosphere of the restaurant and hotel itself making you feel like you are in a movie. Especially fond of the many golf balls on the wall in the bar! The food is second to none with the brie wrapped in smoked salmon being mouth watering and the Surf & Turf being out of this world. But the stand out thing for me and my partner, who were celebrating our anniversary, was the amazing service, care and hospitality shown by Michelle,and the rest of the staff (especially our very friendly waiter!) that attentively looked after us with personalised smiles. They all really went above and beyond. Couldn't thank, compliment or praise the Rozzers enough!

This restaurant is unbeatable in my opinion. We dined here on successive nights and everything was superb. Geraldine was organising things efficiently and the staff just drift in and out effortlessly in a very skilled way.
The food is fantastic and we tried different things deliberately in order to see how good the whole range of food could be. All courses both nights were of the highest quality.
An exceptional restaurant, justifiably one of the best in Ireland and the best in Kerry.

Situated inside the charming Killeen House Hotel, I would recommend an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. The quality of food is outstanding - fresh, flavoursome and expertly cooked. The service is warm, professional and prompt, and overall value for money is unbeatable. We will certainly be back!

Even though the Killeen House and Rozzers are under the one rook and under the same ownership and management, we like them to have distinct and individual 'personalities', because we feel they both have their own special appeal to our guests.

We were a little disappointed with the food. We booked dinner on the strength of the excellent reviews. The fish was not as good as we hoped - both the monkfish and the cod were very bland, and the crab tagliatelle were overcooked and did not really taste of crab at all. Also the portions were huge and came accompanied by a dish of vegetables. We do not like to leave foods on our plates but it was unavoidable. The rack of lamb was excellent, the duck with noodles was so-so - it needed a good deal more flavouring. The berry and apple crumble and ice cream was delicious, as was the strawberry ice cream, but it was a waste to be given three scoops when we had expressly asked for only one!

We are delighted that you found our atmosphere and ambience to your liking, and we are also very happy that you found some of our food, notably the lamb and some of the desserts, to your liking.
But we are very sorry that the fish, the seasoning and flavouring of some dishes, and the portion sizes, were disappointing to you.
The fact that you found our monkfish dish in particular to be bland, is quite surprising, as it's consistently one of our most popular menu items for more years than we care to remember at this stage!
However, we totally appreciate that every single guest to Rozzers has their own unique taste and preference, and we apologise to you that we did not live up to all of your expectations of Rozzers.
Had you mentioned these issues to any one of us on the night you dined with us, we would of course have done all we could on the spot to enhance the enjoyment of your experience.
We really do appreciate your taking time to write and post up this review, and we note your comments, which we will certainly take on board.

Rozzers is a must do if you're in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took time to advise us of their Covid safety measures (guests were well spaced, hand sanitiser everywhere, all staff had masks or visors and and took our temperatures on arrival) However, after that it was very relaxed.
My husband had the Surf & Turf which he described as divine. Quality of the meat and fish were super. His only complaint was that he would prefer to have sauce on the side. I had the salmon with panchetta served on a lobster risotto which was also melt in the mouth.

We know it’s a slightly strange start to the evening when you get your temperature taken at the door but we have found that all our guests find it a little bit comforting considering what is going on in the world.

We live in Killarney and decided to treat ourselves to dinner at Rozzers. The restaurant is located about 10 minutes drive from town, set in a former 1830’s rectory with high ceilings, beautiful decor and the tables are well spaced from each other. We were greeted warmly, our vaccination certs were carefully checked (very happy with this) and shown to our table. We were offered a selection of lovely breads/tapenade immediately. We chose appetisers of scallop and prawn ravioli and my companion had the gravalax and smoked salmon…both very tasty. We decided to share the chateaubriand for mains and it was cooked to perfection. Desert, homemade ice-cream with a selection of sauces and the créme brùlée. Coffee and petit fours to finish. The service was very friendly and unobtrusive. There’s probably very little I can add to the excellent reviews that have already been attributed but if I had to chose only one word to describe the experience it would be ‘outstanding’. We will be back very soon.

My family and I went to this restaurant with high expectations. It was safe to say that the expectations were exceeded. Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were so friendly and made you feel like you were welcome. The food was in a league of its own. It was one of the best meals which I have ever had. I did not eat a starter however other members of my party received starters and were raving about how delicious it was. The seafood chowder was absolutely amazing. I only had a spoonful of it off of my friends plate but I was annoyed I didn’t order it myself. There was various breads selected for the table that came with butter and an olive sauce. It was so amazing I had to ask how it was made. There was a wide variety of breads and all were warmed. For my main course I received a steak. I wasn’t sure as to how much ounces I received but it was amazing. I ordered my steak medium and it was mouth watering. It was so tender it melted in your mouth like butter. I seriously was in awe of the plate that stood in front of me. It was a tall and thick steak cooked to perfection. I received side dishes such as vegetables and chips. I paired my steak with a red wine jus which was one of the best sauces which I have ever tasted I could not recommend it more. After I finished my main I struggled to order a desert as I was so full from my main but knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try one of the deserts that were coming out of the kitchen to other tables. I received an almond tart with a lemon mousse. I could not complain one bit about this restaurant choice. And to top it all off whenever I requested for the bill I received chocolate truffles and coconut chocolates for the tables. The only thing i wish I did differently was that I didn’t shake the chefs hand for the beautiful meal which he had prepared for me and my party of seven. Could not recommend this restaurant more. Michelle and Geraldine also deserve credits for their hard works in this hotel. I can’t wait to return back in the future.

We loved the atmosphere, the warm reception of Geraldine and Michelle, and the food. You have a high quality dinner with a cozy atmosphere where you feel at home. Both vegan and pork belly appetizers were just the beginning of a memorable dinner. They make changes in your food if you request them without any hesitation, and the wine list is varied, excellent and affordable. We had a beautiful and amazing meal last week in Rozzers- fantastic food, served by very knowledgably family and staff. The ravioli scallop started, followed by grilled medallions of monkfish, wrapped in parma ham was just mouthwatering and after all that it was hard not to resist having dessert - a vanilla crème brulee, which we shared. Geraldine recommended an accompanying wine and we finished our feast with baileys and a crème de menthe coffee. What more could one ask for!!!. Thanks so much to Geraldine, Michelle, John and all the courteous and friendly staff.

We just love it when somebody writing a review specifies the dish they ate, because that clearly indicates that they had a memorable meal (and the wine seemed to be OK too!)
The ravioli of prawns and scallops appetizer dish that you mention, has been on our Menu every single year since our Head Chef Paul first started working with us, away back in 1997.
In fact, there are some guests out there who would be less than impressed if we ever took it off the Menu!

Our second visit to Rozzers earlier this year, and a second success story. Geraldine and Michelle take such pride in their restaurant and their guests, that they remembered us from 12 months previously. The red carpet was rolled out and my family and I all rolled home a few hours later after a wonderful evening and a delicious meal. All preferences were catered for including my 14 year old being given a plate of bubbling garlic prawns; just cos she likes them. We'll be back, again.

Staying at the hotel we used the restaurant, lounge and bar. The food is perfectly prepared and they care for you to have a great time. Travelling with a toddler, you need to rely on a restaurant to quickly understand your needs and timelines. They just get it and made life easy for us. Being plant based, you sometimes struggle to find options outside the bigger cities ... not here. They had a great choice of healthy vegan dishes that are prepared with the same attention and care. Highly recommend.

Our Menu is designed for our guests (and sometimes by our guests!), and if we here in Rozzers are in a position to give our guests what they want, then that's exactly what we strive to do.

The food is magnificent & really brilliant value. The staff are friendly, helpful & a joy to deal with. We would highly recommend the Sea food chowder in a tomato sauce to start or else the Ravioli with scallops & prawns which were truly delicious. For the main courses we loved the beef & also the monkfish which were fantastic. My wife loved the Italian Pinot grigio white wine which was really good value & went beautifully with the food. Geraldine, Michelle & the staff are really excellent & its easy to see why this is an award winning restaurant. We are delighted to recommend to others & will be looking to return again in the future. Thanks again for such lovely food & great experiences.
