Ordered chopped steak smothered In onions. Came with a side and bread. The side, steak frites, was good...a blessing bc that's all that was edible. The steak and onions were terrible! No seasoning or flavor to the meat... not even a pinch of salt. Same...More

I love the aristocratic BBQ plate with fries and onion straws they are the best. It's a hometown BBQ spot.

Being from Texas we wanted to try Georgia BBQ. If this is it, No thanks. Very pricy too. And the Brunswick stew was much better at other restaurants in Georgia as well.

Although Sprayberry's is a historic restaurant loved by natives, I find it to be over priced and mediocre. The Brunswick stew is not good. The fried onion rings are delicious but greasy. The chopped BBQ is adequate but uninspiring. Tossed salad with chicken pieces on...More

We are very thankful for our loyal, "native" customers. We also appreciate our loyal, traveling customers that don't go anywhere near Newnan without stopping in for barbecue. We know that barbecue is a personal taste but we still hate to hear words like "uninspiring" and...More

This was the very first place we ate when we arrived to Georgia. We wanted something that was local and not a chain. We took a chance here. The parking lot was rather empty compared to The Longhorn across the way. The service was family...More

We are sorry that your first experience with Southern food was not to your taste. We have been serving traditional Georgia barbecue since 1926 when my Grandfather and Grandmother opened their gas station/food stop on Highway 29 (the main road from Atlanta to Columbus, GA)....More

Sprayberry's is famous for their BBQ. If you are a fan of North Carolina vinegar BBQ you will love Sprayberry's sauce. I am not a fan of their sauce, but the smokey flavor of the meat tastes great alone, no sauce needed for me! The...More

Thank you so much for your kind words! Since you are not crazy about vinegar based sauce, you may want to try our relatively "new" mustard sauce. It is still tangy but has a touch of sweetness also. Our sides are made fresh in our...More

Looking for that true smoke house BBQ flavor? This place has been around since 1926 serving thousands of hungry bbq fans from all around. The old time atmosphere with the cafeteria style trays will bring you back in time! Everything you order is superb! P.S.,...More

Thank you so much for your glowing review of Sprayberry's! We are proud of our family heritage-my brother and I learned from our grandfather (who started Sprayberry's in 1926) as well as our father. We hope that our family tradition becomes a tradition for you!

We are so glad that you enjoyed your Barbecue! Our slaw is a homemade sweet and sour slaw (no mayonaise) and many think that it pairs well with our barbecue. Our fried peach pie is made with dried fruit (the old fashioned way) and is...More

My wife and I stopped at Sprayberry's on our way home from a day trip. Personally, I prefer tomato-based BBQ but their vinegar-based sauce was fine. I liked the fact that the meat on my sandwich was not swimming in sauce. The waitress gave us...More

Thank you for your kind words. We know that our barbecue is regional and that everyone has a different taste. Most like the barbecue that they grew up with. Our sauce is vinegar based with tomato and spices. It is thin and tends to mingle...More
