This restaurant was one I saw on Diner's Drive-in's and Dives. My husband had been here before as well. We stopped in for dinner while on our Christmas vacation and it did not disappoint. This is the kind of place I want to learn about and visit every time I'm in town if possible. The menu has a good selection... More

This was my first visit to this restaraunt, and was pleased overall; however, it was low season and there were only 5 other people in the restaurant at the time. Service The service was good, but no one was running to keep up due to it being low season. The server came to the table regularly and engaged in polite... More

Love the lagniappe that is brought to the table when you are seated. it's a creamy, cheesy dip served with flatbread crackers. The gumbo is good, and I always get the Boudin Fritters.

Enjoyed an evening with 2 other couples and had a great server named Jonika. She was delightful and made excellent recommendations... My favorite was shrimp and grits but also tasted and enjoyed the bayou shrimp! If you like margarita's with a twist you must try the jalapeño margarita!! Good food at good prices.. We'll definitely be back!!!

Funky offbeat fairly quiet atmosphere with not-too-loud blues music. There was a bar, but no one at it, and two TV's were on, but no sound from them. The food was good in the local style featuring seafood mostly, not great, but very good. We had the Brunswick stew and a salad for starters. Both were good- the stew was... More

Such a cool, funky, welcoming place. We stopped in on Thanksgiving after seeing it featured on Drive-ins, diners and dives. Due to the holiday they were featuring only a limited menu. Happily the two item we wanted were both offered. We ordered the grouper and the shrimp and grits. The grouper was pan-seared and topped with a lively sauce. I'm... More

Cute place with average food. Tried 5 appetizers and a house salad. The vinegarette dressing was quite good. The crab cake had bread filler. New Orleans BBQ shrimp had BBQ sauce with it. When I had this dish in New Orleans it was made with a butter garlic sauce not actual BBQ. This was the least favorite of mine of... More

The Sea Island area is not known for fine dining, and what is good here wouldn't be rated as highly in a city such as Atlanta , Savannah or even Jacksonville. Nonetheless, Blackwater is a place worth visiting. The menu is thoughtful, the seafood is fresh and well prepared, as it should be in this part of the world, and... More

The decor is funky! The staff is so pleasant and friendly! They made us feel really welcome! The service was great! The food is so good and they have so much to choose from on the menu! We love Cajun food and if you do too, as well as some delicious low country cooking, you need to pay a visit... More

Recently had dinner again at BG and it was worth the visit. Swordfish was the catch of the day, and it was definitely fresh, well-prepared and moderately priced. Staff is always pleasant and the atmosphere is relaxed. Glad to see Evan back on the staff, hope he will start posting on the store's FB page again.

Thank konaya
