I've been staying at Sea Island for over 35 years and after extensive stays at resorts around the world - Sea Island is amongst the best. Impeccable service, incredible accommodations and southern hospitality. Lots of things to do - golf, tennis, spa, top notch fitness center, shooting school, beach club, pools, you name it. Suffice to say - it's one... More

Resort was great and the staff was as well. The only let down was the very expensive restaurants that were not that great. Tavola was the best. The remainder were very average and very pricey.

The Cloister is an elegant and world class hotel on Sea Island Georgia sitting on the rivers edge with beautiful views from the rear of the hotel. Its Mediterranean architecture and lush garden engage you from the start. The interior finishes mimic the old world style much like you would expect to find in European villa's. The spa is beautiful... More

I enjoyed breakfast here twice during my stay on sea Island. Amanda was a great server. She was friendly and offered very good service. The food was delicious. I loved the eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes. I would recommend this restaurant.

This landmark has lost much of its luster over the recent years. Remodeled and under new management, it has lost much if not most of its charm. I used to love visiting when I was in the States, but now it seems to cater to conspicuous consumption. Alas, time moves on...

My husband and I like to try new eating experiences and looked forward to this one. It was more a theater than a cuisine experience. Gorgeous room and ambiance, but really, no need to put my purse on a velvet stool, or to have my name printed on the menu. And as much as I appreciated the attentive service, I'd... More

We were fortunate enough to eat at the Georgian Room once. Everything was absolutely top notch. Food, wine and service. We took the tasting menu. Each small course was exquisite, each complementary to the next. Servers who could answer any question, often outnumbering the diners at the table. It's Formal (with a capital F), but why not once in a... More

We ended up getting the last room available as I had wanted to play Sea Island Golf Course and I was told you have to stay at the Cloister to play at the golf course. We ended up with a great unit right on the beach at the Cloister Sea Resort. We enjoyed our long walks along the beach during... More

I love this place and will return as soon as possible. My dinner started out perfectly when I stopped to visit the restaurant and Michael Greene offered a full tour of the Georgia Room and other dining options (my first visit). His hospitality and spirit of excellence and warmth made my entire visit better. The food was delicious and beautifully... More
