The Village brought back many memories of the German food my grandmother would make. The pretzel was huge and perfect. They have there own beer, and the honey beer was very good. The service was great and the atmosphere was authentic.

Great backed goods. Love their breads, cakes and Danish. We want for a late breakfast on Saturday, but they stop serving breakfast at 11, so lunch, had the quiche.

Husband and I ordered the sausage platter and was not disappointed. Very delicious and the mustard was amazing. Moderately priced but worth the money. The tavern is cozy and made us feel at home.

Had lunch here on my 1st day to Stone Mountain. I was told that it serves authentic German food. However, I decided to order a veggie burger which is nice & the portion is generous. Saw some interesting cakes & cookies on display. Would have...More

Not open when we visited but the display was very nicely done. Probably more interesting in the holiday season as we were in the off season with very little going on

Went with a friend here for an afternoon meal. We found our way through the cozy restaurant to an "outdoor room", which on this beautiful day was enjoyable. There is also a bar with tables and the brewery is located behind the bar. This is...More

Description
The Basket Bakery originally began as a wholesale bakery with a small additional luncheon room, operated by the Frieses, a German couple. As the bakery’s customers grew, so did the popularity of Hilde's extraordinary cooking. Now in its third location, The Village Corner German Restaurant includes a traditional style German tavern, a European bakery and a cafe style dining room that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. A traditional German menu contains potato pancakes, Black Forest ham and Weiner Schnitzel among other selections. Our artistic and decorative bakery cakes are worthy of any special occasion. In addition The Village Corner boasts a wonderful banquet room that facilitates weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, parties and much more.
