First of all, the service was slow, at best. Our food was just luke warm and didn't have much flavor, very strange to see that puddle of gravy on my plate and on top of my mashed potatoes and and country fried steak, that didn't taste like anything. The country fried steak was just a square piece of mystery meat... More

I do feel sorry for this place as the DOT has cut off and made it hard to get to them. But we went there once and I ordered fried chicken. Of course you think fried chicken is always a basic. I have never seen a 1/8 inch thick piece of chicken breaded and the breading was thicker than the... More

We go to this restaurant a few times a month. Nothing spectacular, but good home cooking. Clean and Friendly place for any family. Waitress, Susan, is the greatest! My favorites are pork chops, mashed potatoes with gravy and turnips.

This used to be a great hometown homemade comfort food place to go back in the day! I don't know what happened but it's not what it used to be.

This quaint restaurant offers southern home style cooking at reasonable prices You can get everything from fried chicken livers to deep fried okra and turnip greens! The country chicken serving is so large that it totally covers a plate!

When we want really good, old fashioned comfort food, we know we can get it at Homespun. Beef tips and rice is my favorite main dish. My husband likes the fried chicken with rice and gravy. Vegetables are well seasoned. Portions are plentiful. We like the new location. We really miss breakfast on Saturdays!

Lived nearby 10 years and have never found the best "southern home cooking" this was not it. Little ambience spread out strip mall park in the rear highway 20 ten feet from front door. Florescent office lights throughout dining room. Prices not bad but small 4 oz bowl portions of veggies. Catfish whole bone with good batter but soggy inside.... More

If you're looking for some good comfort food, this is the place. My wife and I had lunch there on a recent trip to the Atlanta area. The menu changes daily. You select a meat and 2 sides. We both had the country chicken. It was flattened, coated and fried. Ecellent. The mac and cheese were one of our sides. Again,... More

I really love the food here. Miss Ann is one of the sweetest ladies around to serve food. She never forgets a face. Have not been to the new place just yet but very soon.

Only place in Sugar Hill for variety of meat and vegetables. Basic decor and reasonable prices. You get what you pay for here. If you want something other than fast food or a sit down with waitress meal, this is a great choice.
