We took my in laws here for the lunch buffet and it was great country cooking! Loved all the vegetables offered and there was at least 4 meats to choose from. Peach Cobbler and cakes galore. Can't wait to go again.

After reading the reviews and being told about this place from a friend. I decided to give it a try. Very disappointed, got the catfish could not eat it because it has way to much salt in it. My husband also got the catfish could not eat his either. I just don't know why everyone has to cook with so... More

This is a small restaurant with great "down home" food There is always a variety of meats and vegetables from which to select. It is buffet style with servers who prepare your plate and the servings are large. This is not "fine dining" just really good food that is prepared deliciously.

Lunch time buffet line backs up outside the restaurant because the food tastes like real home cooking! Crowded, friendly, and the unsweet tea is just as good as the sweet!I enjoyed chicken fried pork, cabbage, blackeyed peas and cornbread! Red and white checkered table cloths and a clean, cared for environment made for a very pleasant lunch! Helpers were always... More

Evacuees from Charleston found down home cooking unbelievably good and the rare combination of a friendly and efficient waitress staff as well.

Can't believe all the years we have been coming thru this area we have missed this little gem. Well now we know. Fried chicken was cooked perfectly. Not too salty and very tender. The biscuits definitely homemade and not out of a freezer bag. Service is cafeteria style which allows for a quick in and out if needed. Servers do... More

Visited on a business trip to Shaw Plant 22 in Thomson. I had read wonderful reviews here on Trip Advisor, but the locals had not heard of the place. Six of us gave it a try and it was AWESOME!!! A "meat and three" type of place and the fried peach pie was wonderful!!! The staff couldn't do enough for... More

Found this in trip advisor in route to Charleston. Had baked chicken, boiled okra and new potatoes. Hubs had salmon patties, boiled cabbage, new potatoes and cornbread... Oh and peach cobbler 😀 All was good reasonably priced. Would recommend if you are looking for something local. It is a little piece off the interstate.

Next time you are traveling on I-20 at lunchtime, drive past all the fast food joints and enjoy southern hospitality and great home cooking. My husband declared the baked chicken to be excellent, moist and flavorful. All the Veggies we tried were delicious and the corn bread was yummy. So, drive a short way off the highway to southern food... More
