Lovely restaurant in a historical building in downtown Valdosta. The delicious food matched the lovely Southern ambiance and service. Terrie was prompt and professional. Our Fried Green Tomato Burger and Shrimp P Boy Sandwich's were generous in size and great tasting. Though we arrived after...More

The BEST Shrimp and Grits on the Planet! Oh my goodness! Others may claim to be the best but they are only imitations! Try them you will not be disappointed!

We visited during a stop over, and always try something local. Very nice dining as the building and different levels including the roof terrace are really just charming. The drinks were very good but the beer menu is bottle and tins only, and the menu...More

I had the pleasure of dining at their roofside tables on a pleasant May evening. I would recommend maybe not in August but most definitely this time of year. Request shade and the menu changes but several great choices.

I am unaware of a brunch that they serve. I have only eaten lunch there, so unfortunately I don't have an answer regarding brunch.

Description
At Steel Magnolias in Valdosta, GA our food base is urban Southern, taking the roots of classic Southern cuisine and showing a new way of looking at them. We serve our fare with an old familiar smile, where our patrons are surprised by a new approach, yet still know the secret handshake. We prepare the best quality ingredients at the freshest possible point and allow them to speak for themselves. We support local farmers and Artesian producers in an effort to become a supporting element in the community and drive our “eat local, be local” philosophy.
