While I liked the pad thai, it was different from most I've had before. Almost a sweet yet spicy taste. But my favorite was the lemon cookie ice cream.

I really like Barbacoa. Location is fantastic on the Basque Block, it's got plenty of room for large groups and a lot of small tables for 2. Food is good and relatively memorable. I havent eaten here in a few months, but I definitely remember...More

Just to clarify, not correct. It's Bardenay. Everything else you said is pretty spot on. :-) Thanks so much, we appreciate you.

Always a favorite spot for happy hour (food is the only happy hour option, as the drinks are always affordably priced--I've read that line in the menu a few times over!) and the weekend brunch is excellent. Never had a bad meal and occasionally branched...More

We love the food, but especially we love the gin and tonics made with Bardenay gin. They are a bargain at $4.50. The food is a bargain, too.

Portabella mushroom sandwich very good, cider- brined pork chop excellent, chicken fettuccine Alfredo good, bruschetta appetizer a great way to start. No refill on the coffee, and it took a while for the food, hence the slow service comment. The server did apologize and comped...More

I'm in Eagle on business and ate here tonight on the recommendation of a friend who lives here locally. It didn't disappoint. Had one of tonight's specials, smoked chicken piccata. It was delicious. I sat at the bar as I was too tired to wait...More

Food is also super at either location. Service was very attentive and professional. Atmosphere is very comfortable and quiet. If you like salmon, try the salmon sandwich.

Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.
