Coeur d'Alene is a great place to bike around, walk around, and if downtown on Sherman during a mid-afternoon or morning you can stop at Java and enjoy a coffee break. The atmosphere is quaint with plenty of seating and one-on-one conversations with family, friends, or co-workers are easy to have. Cuddle up on a morning date in the back... More

Java Coffeehouse used to be Java on Sherman before they moved several blocks out of downtown... however, I think that's just made them better! They now have the most fantastic fresh breakfasts.

We came because the old location was cosy, consistently good and delicious. Well no longer sadly. Coffee was ok but the rest of breakfast was undercooked or burnt. The new location on Sherman is cold, uninviting and uncomfortable. A big disappointment all around.

I was hesitant when we came in and the place was noticeably dirty. Then, a large party sitting outside, came in twice to inquire how much longer for food? Then, this party ended up voiding their order and leaving. So, when I saw our order of sandwiches ready to go, and then go to someone else, I spoke up and managed... More

They have awesome sandwiches and I can't wait for the tomato soup with grilled cheese in winter. Really good service. Very friendly staff. Plenty of options.

We love this place for group meetings as there is a big room in back-with wi-fi. Also have several food options for those with dietary restrictions. Love the Bowl of Soul coffee.

Even after all these years, even after being forced to move down the street, even if the building is a bit less historically romantic... Still the one. Still the place for a fantastic cup of simple coffee, prepared with love and heart. Still the place for the one-and-only Bowl of Soul... Still my favorite coffee place in town.

We had coffee here two morning and it is good, and brewed fresh. We had muffins one morning and they were disappointing..dry with little flavor. They have wi-fi

Much better than Starbuck's! The coffee is very smooth and delicious, without a bitter taste. Laid-back, hippie atmosphere.
